Did anyone see Bernie's tweet about the Bombers? Said something along the lines of a team they hadn't heard much of this pre-season was the Bombers. Think Tex replied to that one too!

Sorry to intrude but you don't really mean "clean slate" do you? Fresh start I can understand but clean slate implies this will be wiped from the record and won't be considered in the future... I can't imagine that would be the case, I remember the quote "everyone is allowed one mistake" from someone at your club, surely he won't be allowed a second mistake?

I would have thought another major stuff up would be the end of Trigg?

Tex needs to be on TFS asap. I like to think the show is making somewhat of a resurgence, and I reckon having him (and Danger) on there regularly is great for the AFC in that super saturated Victorian environment.

He could easily slide into Johnno Brown's regular role as the lovable, yet legitamitely respected rough as guts country footballer bloke. His kind of humour would work well.

In all seriousness, anyone noticed Tex is getting lots of love on a national scale lately. I reckon his stupid, care free, old school attitude is winning big favour in the current uber-sterile environment thats been created by the AFL. Plenty of footy media types have been saying how "he's a star" and "one of my favorites" on the regular, and I reckon some of it is because of his off-field work. Good on him for being a harmless arseclown on twitter - thats what twitter is for isn't it?

This also made me think, have we ever had a player thats genuinely liked by ALL footy fans as much outside of SA? Not respected... liked. As in, "I hate the Crows, but I love watching Tex Walker play."

What a gun. Get around him.

I do agree he is certainly quite liked by opposition fans and not only this they are beginning to recognise that is he is a gun as well. The media "get around him"" a lot more than they used to.

Yep you are right. Fresh start is more better. And I agree also on the consequences of a second mistake.
