I've never been a fan of Hall, I was surprised that he still had a job at the end of last year. He never shows any passion to help build our club, you never see him at the ground on days when he's not playing, where you'll always notice Cogs, brown, JON, newy, harts, gas, chaff, richo etc.
Does he even give a sh|t about this club!!

He gets bandied around at trade time but always gets the big jobs.
Got Grant today gets Gehrig. He would not be on good terms with the club I would suspect.
Imagine him talking to friends. Convo would go like this:
"They dont want to offer me a decent contract and want to trade me but when there is a big job to do, they get me to do it"
I can understand his disenchantement with the club. He needs to realise though that we are his lifeline as far as an AFL career. He would not be picked up if we got rid of him.

Actually he did show a bit of heart today, but only because he had to. Ability is a dirty word, consistancy is the important one.
he needs us to have some other options in the key defensive posts so he can be tried up on the wing. i will agree though, he makes some pretty frustrating errors.

He is exactly what we should be moving away from as a club. We need to cut the dead weight pulling us down. Id rather see a youngen get slaughtered and ray hall done.

Problem with Ray Hall is, he has never played a game as good as he did in the 2001 semi-final agianst Carlton. He was phenominal that day, playing on the wing and half back line, and eventually the forward line. He has definatly had some "good games" since then and even a couple last year where I would say he was in our best players list, but he is really inconsistant and cannot stand up when called upon, which is what he should be doing considering he has been on the list since 1999.

PERSPECTIVE ladies and gentlemen.No Gaspar, no Kellaway, no Thursfield.
Who do you propose we play on these tall forwards who have troubles us these past two weeks?
Hall is the solitary tall defender in the line-up at present....does not leave us with too many options I am afraid.
All too easy to be s***canning the guy, but not one person has put forward an alternative to Razor being given the jobs on Grant and Gehrig.
Beacuse there ain't one.
The past two weeks have only confimred what we knew all along - Hall is best suited to being the third tall in defence, not the mainstay.
But with giys on the sidelines, he is fighting out of his weight division.
But like I say...no real alternative, unless you opt to throw Richo into defence!
