Last night at the Brisbane Lions launch Brendan Fevola broke his silence over the Lara Bingle situation. When asked how he had been coping over the last few weeks he answered "Well the boys have rallied behind me, that is something I didn't have at the other club. This club is a real family club":rolleyes:

Yeah Fev, Carlton never ever stood by you nor did we ever rally behind you. Absolute W A N K E R and thank god he is gone.

Well if he actually said it I would say its because the boys got sick of rallying behind him every time he was a knob. Cheeky bastard.

He's been at Brisbane for 5 minutes, and not that the rest of the club will find out because he'll be done in a few years but Carlton had to put up with his bullshit for a decade.

his words themselves don't make me think he's an idiot, it's that he's so eager and quick to fall down to lowest common denominator fodder. he would have known brisbane supporters would lap up that shit. let's all rally behind my bad behaviour, poor me.

And to all the people that are saying no more Fevola threads. Fair enough there are alot, but we cannot run away from the fact that this bloke played for our club for 10 years and its fair that our supporters are venting their frustration via the board. If you don't want to read another Fevola thread then don't click it.

If people want to talk about an ex-player the thread will be there whether you like it or not.

I think what the OP said is fair. For Fev to say anything like "the boys at Carlton didn't get behind me" is just plain wrong, rude and a big backhand slap to the club that setup his professional career as an AFL footballer.

sure, but we don't know what was actually said.
 
If Fev did say what has been mentioned then i pretty sure it was directed at recent events, after the club finally having enough of his antics and moving him on instead of sticking by him after the casino drama's.

But its not unlike most gooses to jump to conclusions on here instead of reading between the lines.
 
If he did say it, it can only help us. Helps supporters to get past losing him as he would be ungrateful and selfish, and probably gives a fair bit of ammunition to this former teammates.
