The Swans did us a big favor today and for that I thank them. I believe they were better than the 4 point margin. The half time score difference was closer to the real gap between the teams. As for Judds Norm Smith ? Carp. Buchanan or Roberts-Thompson for mine.

The only person who deserved the norm smith more than Judd in my opinion was Cox, regardless of the result.

Noone from sydney really grasped the game in a match winning way, more a good team effort to run 100m every play.
 
Amon Buchanon was absolutely terrific. I'd love to see him in the purple, it was a real no frills display of guts and determination. I also thought the run from Kennelly was "grand"!

The Swannies played the better footy by far, and it was just wayward kicking from Mick O'Loughlin that kept the Eagles in the game.

Could they do a Collingwood of 2003 and lose 3 cups in a season? Wizard Cup, Grand Final and the Challenge Cup?

Seriously guys, this is getting too far. If you must revel in their loss remember that they're hurting from a tight Grand Final loss in which they had every chance to win and only 1 straight kick would've won them the Premiership and get giddy from that. No real need to rub it in. Save that for next year's first derby ;)
 
Let them go and bask in their own defeat. Just as they would have if they had won. I called it as I saw it and if they don't like it. Tough !!

Was probably the lowest standard GF since the 1980s. Thankgod it was close to keep neutral fans awake. Sydney had to travel to Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne in last 4 weeks whilst WC had Subiaco, Subiaco, week off, Subiaco. Real margin otherwise would have been 6 goals even though Sydney were below par on the day.

No wins outside Perth in their last 11 weeks of season shows where WC are heading. They need to start over again as their game plan cannot win in Melbourne and certainly not away finals.
 
I bet when you're at work - assuming you actually have jobs - that you take cheap shots at people that perform better than you do, in some lame attempt to feel better about yourselves.

You are all pathetic. There is such a culture of losing down Freo way that an Eagles loss is considered a victory for you.

I have just watched the replay again and it strengthens my original call about the difference between the two teams. And as for Judd and his Norm Smith, 14 handballs out of 29 posessions, another questionable choice by the AFL.

So obviously you know more than legends like David Parkin, Kevin Sheedy and company who thought that it was one of the best man on man exhibitions of our great game. Jealously is a curse and i'm affraid your club is cursed..................

It is hard to fathom what you are going on about, but assuming that you are talking about the standard of the game I will try and reply ..

The skill level was very poor for the showpiece event of the season. WC had no idea about how to move the ball into the forward line and Sydney knew that. It meant a boring flood was effective too much to make it a high quality contest. Sure it was great body on body stuff which you would expect in any GF. But the closeness of the game made it interesting, not any indivdual brilliance or match breaking efforts.

If Sydney had not had such a hard run to the GF they may have won that by 40+ points but they ran out of legs and allowed WC back into the game in the 3rd quarter by kicking just 3 goals. That does not make it a great GF, just a close one marred by individual skill errors ,there is a mountain of difference.

Compared to the utterly arrogant, snobby culture of West Coast you really shouldn't be opening your mouth about Cultures. Must be something to do with the colours blue and yellow because the Parramatta Eels were cocky before their preliminary final today in the NRL and ended up getting flogged.

One of the boringest grand finals I have ever watched until half way through the last quarter, most people would agree. :thumbsu: Lucky I was drinking lots and skulling to make the game more interesting. :D

Yer Mate, I can remember the way your mob cried from the rafters when we stood and applauded our boys following the 2003 EF. If anything it was us that showed you clowns how to tackle defeat with some pride. But let me tell you there are a lot of Egirls out their that want a fall guy for your GF loss. We all knew how bitter a winged budgie gets but its all getting extremely laughable. Where not the sad ones, look in a mirror.
