Your state does seem to be a real breading ground and have a heap of untapped talent (perhaps as a result of the distance between WA and the eastern seaboard).

Three former WAFL youngsters score Pies elevation

Three former WAFL youngsters were elevated to Collingwood's senior list when AFL clubs submitted their first list lodgment on Tuesday.
As reported last week on FootyGoss, former Claremont defender Alan Toovey was promoted from the rookie list.
The 19-year-old was selected in the WAFL Colts Team of the Year in 2005 and finished the season in the Tigers' league side during the finals.
Former South Fremantle youngster Shannon Cox was also promoted and will provide some much needed key position depth for the Pies.
Another former Claremont defender, Harry O'Brien, was elevated to the senior list. O'Brien made his debut in 2005 and played nine games for Pies in 2006.

Claremont product Alan Toovey is expected to be elevated to Collingwood's senior list on a two-year deal when the Pies announce their official list changes in the next week.
Toovey was in solid form in the VFL this season, forming part of a dominant Williamstown defense.
The medium-sized defender was selected in the 2005 WAFL Colts Team of the Year and played League finals the same year before Collingwood picked him up in the rookie draft.
The first list lodgement deadline is Tuesday, October 31
