It looks as though the race for yellow is down to two.

Who do we all think will claim that last spot on the podium?

Will be Menchov or Leipheimer. Both have experience, both can Time Trial very well, both have saved them self for the Tour and both seem to be climbing fairly well. Advantage to Menchov though because he's won Grand Tour's before and can be aggressive unlike Levi. Also Gesink is riding really well, better than any of the Radioshack boys and will be valuable to Menchov.

I'll go with Sanchez, but tonights stage may clear this up a bit.

Sanchez is almost certain to attack tonight, as he is a great decsender (must be in the "Sanchez" genes) so he may take some time off the top 2 even.

It is a race in 2 though, but 3rd spot is still interesting too.

Pity Mick Rogers has lost so much time, I really thought he might have been a podium contender this year.

Rogers will never be a podium contender without a team.

He needs to move teams.

I tipped Menchov at the start to finish third so will stick with him to fill it. Though it's between him and Sanchez. Rodriguez to finish behind them in fifth.

Menchov for me, just goes along under the radar.

Tonight is Sanchez's to secure 3rd. Contador and Schleck better be careful not to **** around to much.

They're definitely going to have to have their wits about them whilst they're in the Pyrenees.

The battle for third has become just as interesting as the battle for 1st. This years version of the Tour has battles within battles, great viewing!

Basso has ran out of legs. Much like Cadel.

It is now 12 years since the pirate won the Giro-Tour double. May be another 12 before someone does it again.

Pirate was a massive doper, I think it wuld be more like 50 years before someone does it again.

Contador could have done it in 08 I reckon if he'd been allowed to ride the TDF. He went to the giro on a weeks notice and won it. Would have been better in France I'd say, and it wasn't the strongest field that year.
