Thank you for these two sets of comparative stats Rory W. While a limited sample size this early indicator confirms what a number of us have observed and are communicating, namely that we seem to have a draft steal on our hands here, or as we like to say, a real 'Hamish special'!
EH is doing in 2019 what the Dudester was doing in 2018.

(Hint: 2 years SANFL apprenticeships and taking their chances when given regular AFL games)

Is anyone else seeing what I'm seeing from this guy in the ruck? He does this strange thing where he looks where our players are ... then tries to tap it to them!
Also, does this thing where he runs towards the opposition ruckman and hoists himself off the ground.

I think they call it jumping, or yumping, I think its a soft 'J'

The long SANFL stint strategy is painful too watch and often infuriating for supporters. But it does mean that when players eventually break in, they seem to bring a relentless intensity and are laser focused, you can see it in their eyes when they play. Happened with Doedee, Milera, Keath and now Berg.

There are a batch of guys under the surface in the SANFL right now that I think will come in at some point this season, and then make selection even harder then it is now. Guys like Davis, FOG and Stengle.

There was a period in the third quarter where he won about 5-6 taps in a row. Our midfield went to sleep though so we were unable to capitalise.

Not so sure they went to sleep as they were confused by the ball coming to them.

The ruck work did interest me, as I've hardly seen him ruck at SANFL level.

Makes me wonder if sauce is instructed to tap to his feet, or if it is his own technique and the midfield works/plans around it.

Either way, Himmelberg either doesn't receive ruck coaching and taps to advantage on his own initiative, or Sauce needs to be told to not tap it at his own feet constantly.
Quite a contrast in technique for two current rucks/part time trucks presumably under the same ruck coach.
