So no pressure then. Just come in and play your first game against Taylor or Lonergan. No bigs. I hope he plays well. It'd be good for everyone. I'll still have my reservations but let's see!!!

Igloo Mike__ Could one of you merge this one with the Thread with the same name, Phone decided it wanted 2 Threads in Honor of Redpath

Well deserved! May not be a fairytale, but if he gets onto it early - and I'm betting he will, cos the boys will be looking for him - it could change a lot for us. Jack is very much a confidence player (more than most). He played well at the cattery on the weekend and he is ready to take the place he has earned through hard work and persistence. He is a credit to himself and to the faith Macca, Ash Hansen and Shagger Grant have had in him. No doubt he will get turned inside out a few times by Taylor and Lonergan, but I think he will do enough to justify his inclusion. Go, you big, hard bastard!

it's time you and your dad had a little chat, son...

when was the last time someone kicked eleventeen on debut?

John Coleman - 12 goals on debut in Round 1 1949.. I'd say we're long overdue to break that record..

FYI - John Georgiades is 4th on the all time list with 8 in his first game which was against Carlton, round 1 - 1989

If indeed Redpath doesn't play on Sunday, I reserve the right to run the JACK SMASH!!! image for a third time when he does finally debut.

When it suits me, I like to think I'm a man of my word...

With apologies to those that are tired of all this silliness... I once again reserve to right to run this image when he smashes the Geelong defence to kindling.

Tall forward recruited from obscurity in a country league. Regardless of how he goes today and for the rest of his career, he deserves to be praised for his continual development and achieving an AFL debut. Credit where it's due, great work Jack! Make us proud.

Well said........Agree 100%

In all seriousness I'm so happy Jack is getting a crack. He's done everything that has been asked of him and earned his chance.

I'm not expecting him to set the world on fire this weekend but I am expecting he'll make a noticeable difference to us structurally and the team will benefit.... I'm feeling Dizzy......
