not in trade - they're 3rd and probably no longer culturally or politically - defence wise? - maybemore accurately, our masters ...so a chant of USA is good opportunity to suck up.
Culturally they are. We talk like them, we dress like them, we eat like them.not in trade - they're 3rd and probably no longer culturally or politically - defence wise? - maybe

China purchasing more from US doesn't necessarily mean it buys less from us - their economy has been growing at a clipCulturally they are. We talk like them, we dress like them, we eat like them.
But every time Donald extracts more trade out of China, we lose a sale.
Not really our friends.
1. China 2. Japan 3. USWho is second in terms of trade?
Culturally still hold the power.

Not my opinion. Opinion of much smarter people than me.China purchasing more from US doesn't necessarily mean it buys less from us - their economy has been growing at a clip
Japan's a surprise to me. Is that exports only or all trade?1. China 2. Japan 3. US
with our more diverse immigration now, their cultural influence is being diluted - they have ZERO influence on my eating and reading habits
Been called a lot of things - hipster definitely a first - music-not sure there too many American classical composers so not much influence there either (family and friends will cack themselves when I advise I am a hipster courtesy of BF)Japan's a surprise to me. Is that exports only or all trade?
Eating and reading versus film, tv and musuc? I know which I think are the bigger social influencer.
And frankly if you think you don't have much to do with and aren't are not very influenced by American culture, your probably a hipster, and that's a social movement we've imported straight from America.
Love your posts, but you don't have to overtly say anything more, because your opinions on this matter permeates so many of your posts. They're always good reading.i'm not going to saying anything more on this but you gotta be kidding. Australia is in the USA's back pocket. Like an outpost of the roman empire...
Anyway I like Cox and I also like his politics. I wonder if he said anything to the new USA ambassador when he showed him around the Great Wall Centre last week.
Australia has always had a high level of direct investment from overseas - 1st UK then US so it's not new - it's a function of us not generating enough of our own savings to investAnd for fun, which foreign country owns the most land in Australia?
I know most will say China, we hear it all the time.
The results may surprise.

LOL. Sounds like that straw I grasped for was a figment of my imagination.Been called a lot of things - hipster definitely a first - music-not sure there too many American classical composers so not much influence there either (family and friends will cack themselves when I advise I am a hipster courtesy of BF)
Barely drink beerLOL. Sounds like that straw I grasped for was a figment of my imagination.
However, all hipsters do deny being hipsters. It's a key part of the sub-culture. Therefore my hipster radar is still on high alert.
Two questions
IPA or Lager?
kale or spinach?
Ok not hipster, but answer one makes you irrelevant to the discussion about cultural influences of Australia.Barely drink beer
Spinach

well thanks for the vote of confidence.... maybe i should say something covertly then...
i have to make a comment on the china thing. Yes, it's true. As a third world country exporting raw materials, we do rely on China not sneezing. However, it's no coincidence that the US refers to Australia as being on the pacific RIM....rim... get it? They like the rim reference because it's so appropriate
When the UK first entered the Common Market 45 years? ago great doom was predicted for our trade then - our trade has only grown substantially since then - same will happen if US and China do a deal on gas - we will find other marketsNot my opinion. Opinion of much smarter people than me.

Directly related to Port's push into the China market. Absolutely no influence on Collingwood crowds. Our performance has improved since this event occurred and so too will our crowds.we should remember this is a footy forum and not a self-help group to get a job with the economist. ...

If we could get fewer real estate agents that would be a good thingYou know there's no foreign ownership in bali... not because they love saving so much. It's because foreigners cant directly own land... It's a common theme in many countries. The fact is that most australians will sell their mothers for a quid, so selling off the land comes pretty easy. Evidently, the Chinese havent liked the snub of Huawei and have scaled back their land buying spree in australia. Real estate people are panicking in the streets...
