Yep. Also doubt we get 14 gold like we did in Beijing. 12 at most from here, needed the 4x200 women's and Rohan Dennis to get up if we were any chance at that
Rolled through it

13.3.14 (30) at the moment. Equal 4th best gold medal haul with Melbourne '56 after Sydney '00, Athens '04 and Beijing '08.

Will equal Beijing with the laser gold this afternoon. It's been a fairly good Olympiad so far :)

Oh and we're currently ranked fourth for gold medals at this olympics 😁

Really keen to see how we go over next few year leading up to Brisbane. Will be some serious money being thrown around, would want to be beefing up the pathways

Actually I wonder if that might screw up the growth of Aussie rules, particularly in the rugby states 🤔 kids choosing other sports because they want to go to the Olympics?

Actually it's kind of weird that there's no cricket in the Olympics 🤔 I know it's a game that's more common in the Commonwealth countries, but then what is baseball if not US-centric? And then there's softball, which is basically baseball-lite

Baseball is huge in Japan and Cuba tbf

You could throw netball into the same category as cricket I reckon.

Historically cricket was meant to be in the Olympic Games but it's length meant that it was pulled.

Of course since then we've introduced shorter cricketing versions but it's never seemed to gather steam again.

Baseball is only back for a one off appearance I believe due to its popularity in Japan.
