Seems Frankston are in plenty of trouble, both on and off field. Expect a turnover of 2/3 of their list, on top of a new coach. And financially the rumours are that the club hasn't got much money to spend on players. It's very hard to see them being competitive in 2010.

At the other end of the scale, the Borough are all cashed up. Gary Ayres heads into his third year with a club he has managed to achieve plenty with over the past two seasons. But we have't heard a lot about player movements? Does anybody know what the player turnover has been like down at Port Melbourne?

There were rumours about a fair bit of unrest at Franga, last year, guess they all came true.
Shagga Grant's at Bendigo, Marigliani EFC rookie.

Bombers apparently want complete control over Bendigo... as a de-facto stand-alone club. AFL Vic won't allow any new stand-alone licenses.

They basically will have that. The Bendigo VFL Reserves side is gone, so now its just a senior VFL team, comprising mostly Essendon players, that does the majority of training at Windy Hill but call themselves Bendigo and play a few games up there.

Really it will be a lot closer to the set up that Collingwood and Geelong have for their VFL teams than it would be to an alignment with an actual VFL club.

There's already a Frankston team in the MPNFL

They are no relation to the Frankston Dolphins that play in the VFL. They are called the Frankston Peninsula Bombers and they play out at Baxter. They are a very strong & succesfull club in there own right, having produced such players, as Dermott Brereton, Kelvin Moore, Travis Payze, Stuart Trott, Darren Hulme, the Lonie twins & Russell Shields.
