Three Essendon players have been honoured with selection in the Indigenous All Stars side that will play Essendon in Darwin on Friday, February 9th. Paddy Ryder, Andrew Lovett and Nathan Lovett-Murray have been included in a superbly talented side that will provide an extreme early season test for a young Essendon team.

The game will be played at TIO Stadium, Marrara at the completion of Essendon’s community camp which is taking place in Darwin between Tuesday, February 6th and Friday, February 10th. Essendon will not finalise its squad until the week of the game.

Have purchased two grandstand tickets for the game. Will also get along to training to have a look.

They have also been asking for volunteers to drive some of the boys to various clinics around town.

I gues we'd line up with McPhee on Williams, Mal on Buddy and Fletch on O'Loughlin. (Purely speculative) And Lucas and Johns should run riot on that backline, let alone if Lloyd or Hirdy play.

I would have thought that Grover would be in the starting 18 if he is fit seeing he is the only player in there line up anywhere near full back in his AFL career

Grover and Lovett-Murray, really not much difference. Not having anyone in their backline over 190cm will hurt them but they will play to their strengths. Poor old Daryl white retired years ago only to prob have to match up on Lucas.

Which of your recent draftees do you think will play against the indigenous all stars? From what I've heard Alwyn Davey could be a chance to start in a foward pocket.

Davey will probably line up in the bombers team, i would likee to see him line up on HFF or possibly on the ball.
