The Keepers

As we're now at the half way mark of the season I thought it would be interesting to see how our "keepers" have fared and what their future holds. By keepers I'm not talking established premiums or guns, but rather those players you took a punt on from the start and thought they had the potential to score well and possibly stay in your squad till the end, a mid priced player (<300K) who would perhaps rise to become a premium/gun. e.g players who were either coming back from LTI, or looked good in the NAB cup, or through some hunch you expected them to have a good year. I'll kick it off:

Initial squad: Raines, Houlihan, Ziebell, HMac, Higgins, Skipworth
Already gone: Raines > Gilbee, Skipworth > Stevie J
Future trades: Ziebell > premium mid in the next 2 weeks
Keepers till the end barring injury or form drop: Houlihan, HMac, Higgins

Others that come to mind who weren't in my initial squad:
Cogs, Hasleby, Rich, Sidebottom, Hentschel, Malceski, Sherman, Swallow, Otten, Kreuzer, Clark, Lucas, Geary, Gilbert, Duffield...

As you can see, I haven't made many trades, but that's because I've been fortunate to have only 16 injuries and only 4 critical injuries so far. I've only made two upgrades to my team so far but I plan to make 6 more.

Only keeper is higgins. Everyone else was a premium when i bought them (Hmac was brought in for Hille so counts as a premium), or has/will be traded out. I guess because sidebottom, grimes and broughton have been brought in late in the season, they are keepers... but they're bench players... so don't count.

I still have skipworth but am trading him to riewoldt next week probably.

Hodge has served me crappily, but he' still in my team since round 1. I will never give up on him!
