NDs for dying a might death the last few weeks because it was painging me that I didn't have him.. would have been my 7th defender if I had one...

Thankyou to the great man leon davis for vindicating my decision to choose you 2 rounds ago. My original plans that round of higgins to sidebottom, suban to drummond fell agonisingly short by just 3k which was very painful at the time considering i worked this out 30 mins before lockout when the site was as slow as the 2006 essendon midfield 
Instead the best trade i could make, based on averages was rich to davenport then higgins to leon (who was not even in calculations until i decided i had to make a point grab as quick as possible to avoid treading water in overall rankings, seeing as i had only just crept back into the top 1000 at that stage). I wasn't exactly sold on his price. I didn't like the idea of paying that much for him but his b/e of 35 is what sold me and i love watching him play so it made the decision a lot easier. Also something i have realised money saved is not money earned i.e if i went with okeefe or j brown i would be wasting 150k of points so to speak so i wanted it invested somewhere.
As it turned out leon scored 90, drummond 100, davenport 50, rich 100 broughton 75 sidebottom 65. Essentially i missed out on 50 odd points and $100k difference. plus whatever value rich would accumulate. I wanted so desperately to keep rich aswell and it killed me when he pulled that 100. I was very frustrated at that point then i realised something else.
I made an oversight. For some reason i was thinking sidebottom was on the bubble that week and i would miss out on him. Not realising i could hold off for a week, bring in a 94k rookie of which were non-existent except for sam wright iirc. And his score would have to play with the news about chapman being dropped. So that clouded my decision a little. But i was still frustrated. Anyway a new week new opportunity.
As it turned out davenport and beams were dropped but this didn't really compound matters because i had a few mid benchers to start. So as it turned out leon 170, drummond 125, my starting rookie collins 95 more by dumb luck rich 45 suban 70 sidebottom 40. Which of course counter balanced everything of the week before including the 50 point deficit. And not only that but netted me an 80 odd point bonus to my overall score.
That was a mouthful lol but all in all thankyou leon. You are a fairly unique pick and every time you pull a big score like that you are getting me closer to the coveted prize. Keep it up as its not only great for sc but great to watch. Thank you sir

Special thanks to Kurt Tippett. Had a hole in my ruck divison alongside Cox and with some misgivings went tippett. Has been returning solid 80's, 90's and cracved the 100 marl last week.

Kudos to you Mick Malthouse for selecting that hack Jaxson Barham and in doing so giving me cover for my midfield.
With Ablett and Haselby in doubt, Barham's 50 odd points, from 80 DT points with a 40% effectiveness rate and 7 clangers could be just enough to get me over the line in my league games this week.
