luke thomson recently upgraded from our rookie list will be a better centre half back than phil davis. Mark this down. Is stronger quicker and can run & carry the ball. Some reason though i see him replacing rutten as full back and talia being our chb . Hopefully davis has a similar year to this year and we trade him to some other club who overrates him just like many people here on big footy. Id trade davis to get us a good midfielder. Unfortunately i dont see davis ever giving us more than what kenny mcgregor gave us . Very similar player. Slow and always kicks sideways and never instinctively plays on.

You really have no clue, Davis will be an excellent CHB for us. He's WAY ahead of Bock at the same stage in their careers.

We should aim for the ball, not the body. In any regards IMO Davis is not as mobile as Bock. Bock had an uncanny ability for a back man to get the ball and run half way down the oval.
Davis has a great lunge, but is it me....or does he play more of a similar role to Truck? And don't get me wrong, I am very very happy with Davis. I have not seen much of Talia, but he is also touted to be a tall defender. Where does he fit into the scheme of things. I know he is good, because I have Carlton mates cursing that he came to Adelaide

Sorry but you can't suggest that Davis now isn't as good as bock say '09 - because obviously he isn't

those having a crack at a 20 yr old CHB and comparing him to a 28 yr old veteran have rocks in their heads.


But a 20 yr old Davis is far superior to a 20 yr old Bock.
