With Speck as his business partner, Sydney-based Bermeister has gone legit, developing what is billed as a world-first computer application that will interrupt illegal downloads and redirect users to legal versions of the same content. The software would be used by internet service providers.
If you're using VPN tunnels though to wherever and then downloading from there, how would the ISP know what you're doing as they can't penetrate the secure encrypted tunnel? And they wouldn't block VPN port access as many customers use it for remote business purposes.
