We got within 19 points :thumbsu:

Had we less injured players, the score would have been different
All the young guns played quite well.

Great Signs here at Windy Hill:thumbsu::thumbsu:

After that first quarter we took the game on and looked like we might actually take the game for a while. I thought Jobe was very good today, plus dempsey

Perseverence.
Self belief.
Courage to take risks.

Neagle's enthusiasm and confidence. Needs consistency.
We know (and now other sides know) how Stanton can be shut down, we need to find ways to get him free.
Lovett is one of our most consistent. Whoever got into his head at the beginning of the season should be given tasks on various individuals in the side re: motivating. Monfries could have used a quiet word at half time.

Next year or in two years time.....watch out.

The sky is the limit to this young guys....

Best performance we've had against us.

Your pace was always going to take it to us, was just a matter of whether we could stop ya from hitting targets...and what we did with it down the other end. :p

Well done guys, bright future ahead.

Thanks mate, this is probably the first time we had a loss and people are quite positives.

Rnd 8: S.K 90 - Ess 71 (19 points)

That's my positive!
Wasn't a thrashing like some of the other games.
Very proud of the Bombers, never gave up once.
Missed goals in the last qtr killed us, but what an effort. :thumbsu:
Young side, lots to learn but gave it their best shot!
Look forward to Fletch, Welsh, McVeigh, Prismall, Reimers in the coming weeks also :thumbsu:

Gotta beat Tigers cause Cats gonna be tough.
Would love to beat Crows on my b-day! :)

The fact that we got that close with a team with quite a few of our best 22 out with injuries, i see that as a positive.

Would agree that our youth have put on an amazing performance. It's great to see such a young and relatively experienced side take it to a complete team in St Kilda.

Another positive being, staying in the game regardless of the first quarter. Great fighting spirit all the way.

I'm happy. But for some reason, I feel like we let an upset slip.

.

2nd highest score, 2nd lowest deficit. :thumbsu:

hooker and pears both solid in defence, personally i dont think we need lucas and to a degree fletcher (fletch would be good to help out, experience) just keep persisting with neagle and hooker and pears down back

Yep, in years gone by after that 1st quater thing may have got messy.
We would of learnt a heap tonight Pears and Hooker were very good, hard to belive only 12 games between them!:thumbsu:

By far the biggest test we've had all year, unlucky not to have pinched the match.
I tell you what though, you guys are going to be something in the next few years. One of the best up and coming teams i've seen.
Definitley not jumping the gun, finals are beckoning me thinks. :thumbsu:

great effort considering we played with only 21 men for all bar the final 7 mins of the game.
i thought bellchambers must of got injured in the warm-up.
liked houlis game on the dirty little weasel. and hooker did a great job on the umpires love child. what was nlm thinking giving away that 50mtr penalty? thats why he will be the first one dropped when we get a few back.

Just got home after that match. How intense. Geez I'm happy with Pears and Hooker. They are going to be a good pair. Although I was scared when I saw him come down after that crunch in the second quarter. Thought he did his knee.

very impressive from the boys today, loved watching Dempsey go around & Hooker - wow:thumbsu:

the Z man went ok as well;)

Pears and Hooker really impressed me again today, Hooker just needs to use the first option when he plays on and tries to run through tackles.

Great signs for Bombers fans and don't forget we still have Michael Hurley to come into our side after getting in the best for Bendigo

I've said it many times this year but i'll say it again....I ****ing love Tayte Pears. The kid has just turned 19 and he was the one with the cool head in the back half.

We could have used another crumber tonight at the foot of Lloyd and Neagle but they both fought and chased hard.

Dempsey and Dyson were also good, Dyson may turn into a footballer yet.

That would have to be the dumbest post in history. Regardless of age he is our best defender if not our best player.

Maybe you meant that when he retires in a couple of years we should be ok because Pears and Hooker look good.

Hooker was very impressive. He has good speed and a racking handball. I love Nat Rat's aggression. Riewoldt was going to kick the goal anyway and so bumping him was worth it (I think).
