He has not made mention of it to the press but Mr Rayner actually suffers from a condition known as Sudden Onset Body Paralysis. I think it is extraordinarilly brave of that young man to play such a strenuous and exertive sport at the highest level even though he knows that the slightest contact will cause his body to flop uncontrollably to the ground.

I trust he has upped his medication for the Grand Final so there will be no unfortunate flopping
