The Quests

Anyone else remember the old Quest games, like Police...Space and Kings Quest? They were all excellent adventure games back in the day and I loved them all. Been thinking of buying them as I think you cant get them as abandoned games. Anyone know where I might get them? I will faithfully return the favour with buckazoids

They were great. Sierra were my favourite game makers back when I played games regularly.

Played and completed the first 4 space quests, first 6 Kings quests, first 3 Leisure suit larry's (best of the lot). Played a couple of the Police quests and others, but they weren't as much fun.

I preferred them in the original format - of entering what you wanted to do rather then point and click the various icons - that seemed too random to me, so didn't play the last few ones they put out much.

Are they available as a torrent?

I'm pretty sure at least a few of them are available for a legal free download.

I quiet enjoyed a few of these games as a kid on our old Amstrad PC-20, Kings Quest, Police Quest, Conquest for Camelot etc.

I recently downloaded Police Quest just to finish the bastard (with the help of a FAQ) since I never could work out what to do on the final level. It was a kinda fun nostalga trip, but gee I'm glad games are alot more user friendly these days.

Click on the letter 'S' near the top of the page to the right a bit, then click on page 4, they are all at the top there. Also a remake of Space quest 1 i think.

If you have trouble running some of them in Windows XP download dosbox and use that, or if you can get it running but have no sound, download vdmsound from here, install it, then when you run the setup/install for the game to setup sound, right click on the file and click 'run with vdms'. When loading the game also right click on the file and click 'run with vdms' and your sound should work.

Space Quests were pretty good.
Never got into the Kings Quests.

I used to get into the quest of glory series back in the day. They where probaly my favourite out of all of them.

Number 1's been redone with a mouse interface, so its still not to bad i dont think, but damn those trolls where hard to kill.
