Hi guys, here is my weekly match preview. Hope you enjoy.

I have no doubt that Collingwood versus Carlton is still the biggest rivalry in AFL football. ANZAC Day may be the biggest build up and the interstate derbies may be the most brutal, but the Collingwood v Carlton rivalry is the most traditional contest. The battle between these 2 sides has never relied on ladder position, nor has it relied on gimmicks or promotion. Without fail, this game will always draw a big crowd and the atmosphere will always be electric.

However, clashes over the last 15 years have counted for very little. Collingwood was not a contender towards the latter part of the 90’s, whilst Carlton was at its worst throughout the 2000’s. Thankfully, we are now at a stage where both the Magpies and the Blues are finals contenders, and victory carries even more weight.

Good preview.

I was waiting for this and wondering why it hadn't appeared.

I guess it took a Collingwood supporter the best part of the last three days to write it. ;) :D

30yearblue would blush at the length of your preview. :thumbsu:

This paragraph relates to our side's 2010 because our intensity has also been up and down this year.

However, the biggest improvement at Collingwood has been the consistent level of intensity, which has remained at a high level since Round 1. In the past, Collingwood’s intensity has fluctuated. For a team that relies so heavily on turnovers and defensive pressure, even a 5% drop in effort is very telling. In 2010, Collingwood’s pressure has been phenomenal. There has hardly been a side which has penetrated Collingwood’s defensive structures with ease, and turnovers have well and truly become the number 1 avenue to goal.

We smothered WC because we improved our intensity and defensive pressure after half time.

One change we made was moving Walker onto Hurn in a defensive role in our forwardline.

I can't think of a match up...Probably Macaffer.

I think Jamison will take Dawes.

A shame Kreuzer is out, because we have picked a fitter and quicker team this time round with Grigg taking Mclean's place.

Mclean clearly wasn't right the last time.

Houlihan will be a loss if he doesn't come up.

Ran with Shaw the last time to close down another star half back.

Has kicked important goals this year.

Thanks for excellent report once again.

If Houlihan isn't in the side, I wouldn't be surprised to see Grigg play on Shaw, he has played a good shut down role on him in the past.

I don't think the Blues will get close to the Pies on Saturday, but hopefully playing the in form team of the competition will raise the level of our game, as we have been playing without urgency for the last month or so.

Looks like you've already made $70 from people clicking on your link. Clever.

Does BF get a cut? :)

parrot, the total hits on the page does note equate to what they credit me for. THey use a google analystical program which pretty much halves the hits.

I am still yet to earn a cent, but I'll probably get paid at the end of the month.

FWIW, I have been doing these previews for 2 years now and never earnt 1 cent from them. This website approached me and offered to pay me if I could get a minimum of 500 unique hits a week. So far I have managed that 3 out of 4 weeks.

I've always done this as a hobby, but it will be good to get some reward for the effort.

Fine, nothing wrong with making some money, but at least post a thing called a "Disclaimer" at the bottom of your post.

That way people will know that you are getting financially rewarded from the Sport Betting Company that's paying you to boost their traffic. That link you've been posting all over the place is effectively a paid ad in disguise.

I also note you didn't post the direct link to you article on the betting company's webpage, but instead posted a bitly link that cleverly redirects. Was this because you didn't want people to see the name of the sponsor you're promoting? I hope not.

:)
