Dangerfield (I assume even though he won't play, he'll get drafted to a SANFL club).

Will definately be drafted to an SANFL club. Is expected to play a few games in the SANFL during school holidays apparently. Ive only heard this on 5AA though, not anything official from the club

It would be even tougher than normal if he only played in the school holidays. AFL players train **** all with their SANFL clubs anyway which makes it difficult for them to learn the plan, and get to know their team mates.. if he is going to play a game or two here and there he will have a lot of difficulty.

He may only end up playing Bs anyway.

AFAIK he will only be in the magoos.

The Dangerfield situation is an interesting one for clubs if he is in the mini-draft this year.

Should be one of the more talented/the most talented, of the draftees coming into the system.

It's doubtful whether he'd play games in the league side next year. So you're not really getting an instant return on your selection in the mini-draft. However one would expect he'd play a fair bit in the 1's in 2009.

But if he really comes along in leaps and bounds playing TAC Cup and a few reserves games this year, then he might not play much SANFL at all.

If he comes over in school holidays then its foreseeable that he could play 4 sanfl games for the year in 2, 2 week blocks. IF he destroys in the Magoo's which is more than possible then i dont see why the club would be against putting him into the league side in the second week. If it increases their chance of winning a game i think they will do it without question. Thats a lot of if's though

If he plays 4 SANFL games he will qualify for Finals ;)

It does depend what team he plays for though betterthanu.. if it was a Centrals or North or something then he wouldn't get in the team I'd imagine, and they wouldn't bring him in for just the one game as it's too disrupting. If it was West or South or another rabble then there is a chance, possible in the second of his two-week blocks.

At least with John Cahill coaching at South, a tall forward will find himself a focal point of the forward structure.
Totally agree ,.....whover goes to South will be well coached ......but I'd say the same at Westies as they have got themselves a fine coach.

Westies need midfielders but expect .....South & West to fight over Otten and Lobbe.

Next most sought after will be Jarrhan Jacky ....he'll rip up the SANFL

I'd expect that to come into a teams thinking that would be thinking finals next season.

Sturt, WWT and Glenelg .......just hope Dangerfield doesn't go to Centrals as he'll be in the magoos all season no problems

Of the lot I would think Moran would be the most SANFL-ready. Hope the Panthers take him.

BTW, Port Magpies will take a power player if they can....although they did take Maric I suspect they would like to take someone from the Power to keep them at Alberton all the time.
