This year we move more senior players into the sweet spot than past contending years, 16 in all if Schaz stays. We have a gap year at 28 which was holding us back the last few years, but now some really big names have moved into the age bracket that they should play their best footy in.

Ages 23 to 27 from oldest to youngest

Elliott
Mihocek
Treloar
Wills
WHE
Adams
Crisp
Grundy
Langdon
Scharenberg
Aish
Moore
De Goey
Phillips
Maynard
Noble

We have got a good core of players, that are hitting the right age group. Im very happy with them moving us forward.

Eventhough we have a good list of mature aged players, that doesn’t necessary translate to footy experience.

Noble (5 games), Wills (15 games), Sier (18 games), Scharenberg (38 games), Mason Cox (58 games) are players whose age doesn’t reflect their footy experience.

Even Aish, DeGoey and Moore are yet to reach 100 games

That's true but from a purely physical point of view it's when you are at your peak regardless of experience, after 27 both your body and your mental abilities start slowly waning

Generally
It's freaky but it's pretty much 27 on the dot for most people even if it's imperceptible at first. Einstein's miracle year, 5 papers, each a lifetimes work for any other brilliant phycisist comes when he's 26 years of age and he never reproduces that genius. 27 is when scarring begins building up on cells affecting both the mental and physical and generally breaking down the blueprint of the body, with 30ish being the point where it really affects output

Remember the 27 club of all the music stars we’ve lost. Morrison, Johnson, Joplin, Hendrix, Buckley, etc.

+ Winehouse
That’s like talking about the biggest Collingwood premiership stars of 2010 and then including Blair.

“Pendlebury, Swan, Cloke, Maxwell and Blair”.

Youre assuming creativity is the whole gamut of mental ability. Knowledge, wisdom and the impact they have on decision making are a different kettle of fish.

You're completely wrong, fish are quite stupid
