Visited the local Farmers Market today and bought lots of local fresh produce - fresh bread, ham, couple of different chutneys, oysters, scallops, fish and prawns! Yummo!!

Went to the Cheeky Monkey Brewery and sampled all beers and ciders. Found out an old work colleague's family owns a winery, Wise Winery, so also visited there. Drove down to Dunsborough and had a beer at the local pub whilst watching the footy and listening to an acoustic band. Now on our way back to Margaret River to head to the local pub to have a few more beers and watch the last half of the footy :)

Life's great!! :D

Heading back to Perth today after a lovely time in Margaret River. Stopped in Busselton and walked the 1.86km Busselton Jetty, the longest jetty in the Southern Hemisphere :) Saw some dolphins too!

My daughter has just spent the last four weeks hanging out in a small village named Erdevik in Serbia. She stayed at an artist's commune and worked a little for board and lodging. Sounds like she had a great time and the locals love their life and are extremely friendly despite the language barrier. In her spare time she sketched, sewed, tried painting and mosaics. She has been travelling by herself for months now so we're impressed with her resourcefulness. She's a secondary school teacher so these experiences will flow through to her work once she returns. I'm going to have a gap year when I finish working. It's forty years since HSC this year but it's not too late to take a break and see the world.
