OTHER TEAMS???? As if!!
Given that our style of play of late has been rather long accurate kicking forward, could the weather possibly have contributed to us being forced into a style we didn't want to play?

I thought they looked uncomfortable all day.

We managed to do well in the first quarter with the unpredictable wind, so to be honest the whole wind thing not suiting us can be thrown out of the window.

We were convincingly beaten in the middle of the ground where I felt the crows presented well and managed to find open players, while we were congested and no one was prepared to take a risk and run at the crows like we have done for the past 9 weeks or so.

Instead we were backpedalling and kicking to two on ones or directly turning the ball over. I thought a defining moment in the match was when Pav was lining up from about 55 to put us up a few goals in the third quarter kicking with the wind. I thought if he kicks this, we would win the match. He hooked the kick and momentum swung right back to Adelaide.

It truly was a dissapointing finish to what could of been a win to us, but a loss was due and i'd prefer it to be now then in the prelims or worse, the grand final.

I'll finish on saying that we have a week to win our first final. The loss that was anticipated has occured, and this gives the boys a chance to refocus on the task ahead. The key message to the players has to be about taking the risks that have been winning us games. Running at the players. Presenting well and executing. If these goals are met, then i'm confident in saying we will win the match.

Finals are all about pressure.
OK the wind didn't help and put a bit of uncertainty into our minds but I feel that it is a minor issue compared to what happens at ground level in and around where the ball is.

We got taught a lesson in pressure footy and our blokes will be much better prepared now for having been exposed to it.

The good news is that that is as hard as it gets, Adelaide IMO are the best team in the comp at applying sustained pressure so if you are going to get a lesson you want it from the best in the business.

Bring on the Dees!!

We, as supporters, felt VERY uncomfortable at the game. We just couldn't get warm. I haven't been that cold since we went to Alaska! We felt sick, pretty much the whole time we were in Adelaide. We couldn't get used to the cold. Even though the temp was about 17C, the wind was freeezing.
