Ok bomber fans.

Let's have your opinions on this weeks game.

Fletcher out. Heneman out. Hird down on form. Richo back in. Shulz a young gun.

I'm not confident at all but i think the bombers are there for the picking this week. When you have to rely on justin murphy to be your best player you have serious problems.

You're definitely in with a chance.

Our backline's decimated, the forward line's not working, our midfield has problems, and last week we had no heart whatsoever.
That said, I think we have the edge in class, we are a better side than the Tiges at the moment - and it's Hirdy's 200th, so hopefully he'll put on a blinder, and the boys will play for him.

Schultz, Richo and Ottens will be the big problems for us, IMO.
What sort of game does Schultz play?
Only saw highlights last week, but he didn't seem to be that muscular a bloke - more a quick, leading forward with good hands, yeah?

Schultz is a quick strong pack marking and busting type at this stage of his career but when he gets a bit more muscle he will have alot more strings to his bow. But the point is he troubled michael, leppitsch and bradshaw. U guys better win we need those priority picks

True but on last weeks form, you'd have to say we may even be ever so slight favourites. Again, not confident at all cause both sides doing very ordinarily at the moment.

Both sides will be trying their best to lose the game. I'm not expecting a high quality game on sat. But it should be good for a few laughs.

Those "over rated hacks" certainly carved Richmond a new ar*e hole last year, by memory - Murphy and Allan are both 'only' 28 and have a lot to offer, I'm not ashamed at all if they make our better players - they would easily get a game at Richmond at the moment.

Our defence is quite decimated, but the rest of the crew are still there and will be looking to play well after three dissapointing weeks - those thinking Hirdy will have another quiet game like last week in his 200th are kidding themselves bigtime, and Lloyd will kick a lot more than 1.1 this week.

we r going to see of the lowest quality this saturday thats for sure. We cant expect hird and lloyd to suddenly have a big game this week for us to win, we have to somehow learn to go past that. I'd hope essendon win particularly for jimmy's 200th which Im sure richmond will be doing the same for kellaway and rogers.

I expect a pretty close game though the longer the game goes and if its only a couple of points then the worser our unfit tired teams chances of winning r.

If we r to win we MUST have over a 18+ point advantage at 3 qauter time becuase whether we like it or not we r going to be outscored in the last quater.

Firstly, playing Stafford is a risk for Richmond..he came off with a limp last week. With that in mind, Ottens plays in the ruck.

Ottens has the opportunity to dominate the ruck this week. Stafford wont play. Out for 4 weeks.

That's good for us, we're very low on for tall defenders at the moment and i wouldn't want Ottens playing permanently forward with Richo.

it's one of those games that could go either way ... we were crap last year and we only kicked 5 goals or something...

But we have given you some fierce towellings over recent times...


IMO ...All things being equal, Essendon should ( And I say that Loosely) be just too strong for the tigers...But If Richmond are ever going to Win a game against us... wea re picking material ATM.

to lose 2 defenders.... and not really replace them doesn't leave too many options down back. especially if someone gets a run-on. I expect Richo to either start up the ground a Little leaving Schultz the square, or Both to stand in the square and have nobody else inside 50.

Both teams have very high quality (if inconsistent) forward lines, especially in comparison to the backlines.

I really hope the Bombers don't start Lucas in the backline. We need to win the midfield battle, and just try and outscore the Tiges.
IIRC, this season we haven't lost a game in which we scored over a hundred points.
