Fraud. The guy can thank his lucky stars we have injuries.

I have to ask LT lovers one more time.

Exactly what is he talented at?

5 tackles, 5 inside 50s and 2 goal assists.:thumbsu:

He's in his third year and is a contributor. Exactly what do you hope to achieve by criticising him?

He's the Shane Clayton when you don't have a Shane Clayton.

His 5 tackles where all broken. All but one of the inside 50's were rubbish.

He cost us by stuffing up goal opportunities and directly caused at least 2 goals to the Dockers.

My hope is he will end up at Port...or even better Centrals.

I can't understand why you would want someone that plays for us not to make it? That just doesn't make sense.

I hope he does make it. But he has not changed his ways of diving, falling over, looking for frees and at times, being plain selfish in his approach to the team. Yes he is only young, but surely we should be seeing signs of improvement?

Nothing would make me happier to see LT become a key part of the team, but IMO he has gone backwards this year, in a year where he has had extra opportunities due to injuries.

Mate what games have you been watching lately?

Fair enough question a month ago but i've been happy with his form in the last 3 weeks.

Counted at least 2 great goal assists today.

I liked some of his rare unselfishness late on....but his bloody broken tackles, dropped head and chippy smartarse kicks annoy the hell out of me.

I like that he provided a target in the last quarter and hopefully he can start providing this more often as he definately has talent.

I don't know what game kangatime was watching but I thought he was good today. His pressure in the forward line was back to his best.

Rubbish, there where times when his player broke his tackle gave off a handball and then went on to get a handball receive, all while LT was getting up off the ground.

he does know how to hold the ball up over his head,it just makes me sick :thumbsu:

I've been an LT fan and a defender of his, but I must say I thought he was fairly average today.

Tackles were broken, but credit to him getting there to put pressure on the opponent.

His kicking is just... #%!^ing awful sometimes. Directly cost us about 2-3 goals from shitty kicks up forward, however set some nice goals up. Sometimes he goes for goal too early without using his vision and trying to spot someone up.

Yeah, he was frustrating at times today, but I'm not going to hang a bloke for that. Reality is he's at the point of his career where he's probably got the rest of this year to start stepping up.

Needs to land and hold some of the tackles, be a bit smarter with his use of the footy, and get a bit more confident in shots for goal. All those are the sort of things that you'd have in any footballer who's short on maturity.

He goes in hard and if he can work on his game, he may be able to stay in North's best 22. If not, then that's just up to him.

Thankyou.

He busted his guts all day. He didn't put it on the scoreboard but he didn't stop trying or presenting. As did Edwards. In fact I think when our forward line gets settled Edwards will be a better option up the ground. Seems to play better between wing and half forward. But anyway, I thought Thomas was good today. Knows his staging has landed him in the shit too and is going about rectifying it. Not sure what game the detractors were at.
However, I think when Wright puts some muscle on, Lindsay will have to start eyeing off another position if he intends to stay in the side. Kid looks an awesome prospect.

That's good to hear.exactly what is he doing to 'rectify it'?

In the 3rd quarter he clearly got pushed in the back, and then had two players fall on him (which the umpire just stood and watched), but instead of lying there peeking out of his eye at the umpire went in hard again to get the ball.

I too have been frustrated by Thomas this year, but I thought he was ok today. Certainly his endeavor was, and that's what has often been in question.

I'm sorry but it's time for LT. I see him as a Roos player in years to come but for the next few weeks I think a fit, available Campbell should take his spot. For every good thing Lindsay does two other bad things happen, and today was no exception. That holding the ball up, slowing things down and then kicking it do an opposition player with only 13 minutes gone in the last quarter was just rubbish and although a clear low point this does not stand at odds with other things he has done in recent times.

Give him some time in the magoos, let him have some faith in his offensive decision making then bring him back in when he is ready.

Geez this getting beyond a joke now with all this LT hating. Thomas has been alright, obviously he can improve on some things, but he's still pretty young, it will take him a few years before he gets that consistency.
He's in his third year, there isn't the experience of Shannon Grant up forward in terms of directing him in the forward line. And he seems to play better with Campbell in there as well. If we promote Garlett, and Campbell comes back then the pressure is on him to keep his spot, but I thought he was much improved today. Give him time.
