Fly start equates to about 0.7 of a second MC, he did go out to hard, but all things considered he performed pretty close to his 200 individual time so it's more than acceptable.

We got our order wrong IMO, Klim should have led off, he's a fighter would have sat on Phelps and the result in margin after the first leg would have been less or the same, definitely no worse, Hackett is better of swimming v no names, he actually believes he can beat them....the big names do his head in!

the 4 x 200 wasn't his fault. He came within a bee's d*ck of getting there after Keller, who has been in top form, had a near 2 second head start.

Blame the other blokes. They just couldn't get close enough to give a Thorpe a real chance in the last leg.

I didn't say it was his fault. Just that he couldn't pull off a difficult task this time.

Bronze in the 100m this evening. Not bad.
