Marcellin College is closed for the rest of the year. The Bulleen area and surrounds seems to have been the hardest hit. I believe places like Mornington didn't get any rain at all, but I could be wrong.

Down at mornington and mt martha we got about 2mm rain. It just drizzelled down for a few minutes. There were minor thunderstorms around but they seemed to evade Mt Martha and sqeezed through the valleys. So yeah.

Lookin at the radar chart thingy from that link at the start of the thread, there doesnt seem to be too much action at the moment... nothing heading our way.

I can't take much more of it my dog barked non stop even after letting him sleep inside the house. He ran up and down the tiles all night jumping from bed to bed attacking the lightening. I was so drained today nearly falling asleep at work. God help poor parents with newborns waking in the night then again this dog is probably worse.

Spidey
Kenny is terrified of thunderstorms as well, he cries, howls & scratches at my bedroom door, I am just hoping we don't get too many more thunderstorms here at night. :(

Can't believe the Eastern Fwy turned into a river.

That was one brilliant storm.

Watched & listened to it for a while at midnight, then fell asleep, woke at 3.15- and it was brilliant!! Our power had gone off, which was a pain, couldn't really do much just sit and listen- as well as open my blinds and watch out.

Would have stayed up most of the night watching if I didn't have to go to school.

Hope there is more tonight:D

Sounds pretty bad, ceilings collapsing, the works.
Did you used to go to Marceillin College, GH?

Hope everything is ok bud.

Thunderstorms yet again in Ballarat.

It has only just started raining and the sky is looking really dark.

I'm not joking here, 100% swear to it, I witness lightining the other day in Donvale, at WFC College where I go to school at. We were running up the big hill to the car park, through the ****ing hail, and me and my mate took a breather under a shelter at a big building, of a corrugated metal rooftop. We were talking for a moment and this massive thunder, rocked the building, along with a bolt of lighting came down which missed my mate by about 2 metres. It was some scary ass ****.

The heat in Melbourne is generally dry, and while it feels hot it is usually quite comfortable.
This warm and humid weather is annoying and uncomfortable, but one good thing is that it can bring heavy downpours and storms which hopefully are filling the catchment areas and will save us watering the garden.

Will be back to hot and dry next week though.
