i wanted to go to the game tonite so i went on ticketmaster to general adminssion and it had non e does that mean there all sold out?

I believe General Admin is only available at the ground. So you can only buy reserved seats through Ticketmaster. There aren't a lot of Gen Admin seats either. From memory it's only bays Q54 to Q4(8 bays) which is the Punt Rd end and on level 3.

anyone know whats the go with being able to rock up @docklands and buy a GA ticket on the day?

and do yer get slugged a bf on toppa that?

You just pay for the ticket ($18 or something for an adult, etc). Just about all Geelong's games at the dome will be ticketed though so you will need to book.

but do we need to book a ticket to get entry or can we turn up on saturday with our $20 and ask for a ticket at the gate?

the game the following week against the roos isnt ticketed but will draw a similar crowd to carlton surely...

If it is not ticketed yet it will soon be. No as far as I know you need to have a ticket to get in and none are available at the game. Yes it is rubbish as a lot of these games have struggled to get even 45,000 but that's how it is I think. Even as an AFL member I too have to pre book.

Even if it is ticketed you can still get in at the gate unless it is a sell out. I expect the blues game to be sold out though, considering they're actually in good form.

The Geelong vs Carlton game is all ticketed.

You can buy a ticket at the gate on the night and avoid the booking fee, but you run the risk of getting a crap seat or not getting one at all if its sold out. Worth paying the extra $3.00 I think. :thumbsu:

ill tell ya over the past couple of years i've rocked up with my membership at the dome games a couple of hours early and got myself a level 1 seat to ticketed and non-ticketed games no problem. the only thing that would stop me was a complete sell out.

not sure if it is like that this year though...it was the best way to minumize cost.

you just want to make sure you've got something to do in town for a couple of hours before hand

i think they have to give 2 weeks notice of fully ticketed games.

my dad will make his mind up on the day so just needed to know if he rocked up he would be able to get a ticket at the gate.

we will probably stand as well so no loss on being allocated shite seats.

did you have a allocated reserved seat??

has the dome ever sold out??

yes they gave me an allocated seat. i could often get an individual seat on level 1 inthe first ten rows as well.

i have never actually seen a sell out in my life at telstra dome. This is because the medallion club NEVER being full. The only games i did would not risk getting one on the day were the essendon and collingwood games. every other game i.e bulldogs, nm, hawthorn, rich, carl etc i had no problem getting one on the day.

but, again, i havent done that this year so it may have changed.

If you're standing it should be ok.
At the game against the Dons this year, it was packed, but still some standing spots available on the day.

Is it really worth getting to the ground a couple of hours early to save $3?
