Buying, collecting, lineing up, scalping for tickets to the footy, shows, etc seems to be left in a bygone era.

How about using your credit card as the "ticket".
Picture this system:

Log on to ticketek website (or bass, or whatever).
Select venue, time, seat info.
Pay for tickets by credit card (card debitted there and then.)
Print out seat numbers, dates for your reference on your printer. (This is the only actual ticket you would get).

[Similar system if buying by phone. You just need to write down seat numbers]

At the time of the event, turn up, and as walking into the venue simply swipe your credit card on a reader. This will just match your card number to the tickets you brought in a central database, and in you go.

No queues!

Also, no scalping, as you need to take the original purchasing credit card with you to verify entry.

Simple.

I don't have one, and i would like to go to the footy without having to use a credit card to pay for my tickets.

Fear not, Ron. I've got the solution figured out for you. Just get a small computer-chip banking/identification implant in your hand. Here's the one I've been working on in my laboratory:

It's just a prototype, but works perfectly. You just stick your hand under a scanner, and all of your information can be read. Cash can be automatically debited from your account.

Here's the best part. Every street intersection will have a detector for these implants so that your exact location can be triangulated at all times! Think of the advantages. For instance, if you are accused of a crime, the database can prove that you were not there when the crime took place. I like to call that the 'alibi' feature in my program. Designed to keep your freedoms intact. You can thank me later.

PS: If you don't want one of these implants, we'll cut your ****ing head off. :)

Simple.

Ticketmaster7 use a similar method to this when purchasing tickets ONLINE for games at either Telstra Dome or Subiaco.

You purchase your tickets with a CC, bla bla bla... and then you print out your actual ticket on your printer, and it has a barcode etc, which you just scan as you walk in.

What if I've bought several tickets. Do I go through, then slide my credit card back under the turnstyle so my mates can get in?
