Buying, collecting, lineing up, scalping for tickets to the footy, shows, etc seems to be left in a bygone era.
How about using your credit card as the "ticket".
Picture this system:
Log on to ticketek website (or bass, or whatever).
Select venue, time, seat info.
Pay for tickets by credit card (card debitted there and then.)
Print out seat numbers, dates for your reference on your printer. (This is the only actual ticket you would get).
[Similar system if buying by phone. You just need to write down seat numbers]
At the time of the event, turn up, and as walking into the venue simply swipe your credit card on a reader. This will just match your card number to the tickets you brought in a central database, and in you go.
No queues!
Also, no scalping, as you need to take the original purchasing credit card with you to verify entry.
Simple.
