Toast Tigers in India

A couple of years ago my mates and I travelled to India and visited a non-profit organisation in Mumbai called "Reality Gives". They do work in, Dharavi, the biggest slum in India.

So anyway, this just popped up on my facebook wall and I couldn't help but notice the Badge. Go Tiges!!

"Tomorrow, Reality employee Mayur Parmar will be hopping on a few planes and making his way overseas for the very first time to represent AFL India at Aussie Rules in the country from which it originated, Australia!!

Whilst we're going to miss him like crazy (he basically runs the show for us over here in Dharavi) but we're also hugely excited for and proud of him.

There's still a few hours before he flies any last minute tips on the Aussie lingo would be greatly appreciated! "

RFC_Official not sure where the clubs work with the Indian community currently is now, but any chance we can have the kid returning home with a current top?

If he's rocking our colours in Dharavi, he should be in the current logo

Great stuff and thanks for sharing Cotcho! I remember the club trying to make some ties with the Indian community (was it 2 years ago?) and trying to help both market the club and the game. Hopefully that work has been continuing in the background - can't recall seeing anything recently.

I went three years ago and contacted the club to offer to distribute some gear, but got tumbleweeds.
