melbourne (saints)
which ricmond will run out onto the ground sunday? the ferocious, tenacious, courageous tigers or the all too familiar pathetic, insipid, weak pussies, my monies on the latter.

richo will be back to run and jump in ever decreasing circles until he finally disapears up his own clacker, taking daffy with him, much to nick's delight. cambo and knighter will have to get together after the game to make sure their stories are the same when they have to face spud and explain why they only picked up 6 kicks and 4 handballs between them. wayne will say it's all part of the game and later in the night over a stack of beers turn on knighter and tell a completely different story without a seconds thought for the truth.

it is just the game for a barry hall special, he'll kick 8 whilst hamill will kick 4, gaspar will contribute a couple of saints goals with pin point passes straight to our blokes. you lot are going to be spitting chips when one r.powell bobs up and kicks 3 goals early in the last 1/4 to put the game out of reach.

it's the second half of the season and once again an appearance in the finals looms for the tiges, but alas what has been promised in the first 1/2 of the season will once again be cruelly taken away, starting this week.

well that's my spin on it anyway. ;)
good luck.
the best team will win.

If your mouth was a gun, you would shot yourself in the foot about 10 times this season.

Please make sure you are going to hit your target before fire. Your attempt was as accurate Peckett kick out. :p

Congrats to the Saints for playing an attractive and attacking brand of football. (unlike Sydney)

St Kilda players made errors which cost them dearly, but only because they were taking worthwhile risks. (unlike Sydney)

Gehrig and Hamill are now beginning to justify the effort St Kilda went to to recruit them, and Everitt is finally showing some leadership.

Richmond were forced to play well to beat St Kilda, and the final scoreboard was not a completely fair reflection of the contest.

If the Saints continue to take calculated risks (Aussie Jones kickout was badly executed, but the idea was certainly the RIGHT one), then they will improve. They need tough midfielders to replace the aging Burke and Harvey but they have the skeleton of a good side.

I rate the Richmond win against the Saints much higher than the one against (you guessed it) Sydney.

spot on lc_15, my mouth is a gun and every time i shoot it off about how crap the opposition are and what a great side the saints are and how all our players are legends it can take 10 minutes to explain but all that actually comes out is 'pop'. i've been to all the boards of the team's where about to play to give my distorted ravings of what i think of their team and how the saints are going to beat them, and it's amazing that i get more responses after the game than before it. :D

your mob were far to good and much to classy for our lot, basically you had more blokes playing at a higher level than our blokes.

enjoyed the duel between gaspar and hall. if bazza had of kicked straight he would of had 1/2 a dozen and probably just shaded gaspar. as it was however gaspar just kept him in check and made a couple of important plays himself.

richo was a bit underdone but was completely beaten by gehrig who is having a terrific season for us this year. he hasn't been beaten by anyone this year and he's played on all the 'big' names.

what we would give for a polished finisher like bowden at the moment, he destroyed us, especially on the scoreboard.

tt, you're assesment of our game plan is correct. blight has developed an attacking, take risks and back yourself approach to this team. the only problem is the players make far to many skill errors which result in damaging turnovers. not enough players contribute over the full course of the game, it's always left to too few. we'll get there eventually, how long is anyones guess, having 6 first players out doesn't help either.

enjoy the finals, i might just barrack for your lot if mine don't make it.
