Definite case of "stagefright" for the Tiges yesterday. i expected a bit more than what they gave us. They were terrible.

i think essendon have really only been in 2nd gear so far this season and sheeds really had the boys prime and pumped up for this one which showed in the way we came out in the first quarter

Couldn't agree more there with your assessment. Essendon hit Richomond hard from the first bounce and we never recovered. For about the first 10 minutes it was a real struggle just to get a clear possession. Well played and I hope that we got a lot out of our 'lesson'. We can only get better. 46 points (bad kicking aside) wasn't as ugly as it could have been.
