Tim Duncan Or David Robinson?

In their prime who would you prefer?

Dave was clearly the better defender but was perceived as soft.Tim has shown he can deliver when it counts.People say Dave didnt win a ring until tim arrived but you can say that about Jordan who needed Pippen,Magic had Kareem and Worthy,Shaq had Kobe etc,etcHaving Dave alongside his first couple of seasons obviously helped Tim as he didnt have to carry a team straight away.Dave also played in a era of great centers Hakeem,Ewing,Shaq,Zo,Mutumbo and co whilest Tim doesnt really have a true Power forward rival.

Couldn't possibly vote against the Admiral and Duncan will go down in history as one of the elite players to play the game. Sorry...have to plead the 5th.

I voted Robinson because right now he is still ahead but by the end of their careers, Duncan will probably have surpassed him.

This is a question that pulls at the heart strings. I feel Duncan is the better player in terms of all round ability, but Robinson never had the supporting cast that Duncan has had of yet.

Robinson is always going to be my favourite player of all time, but I think both he and Duncan are inseperable in terms of San Antonio history.

I dont think that San Ant's supporting cast is really that great. They have Tony Parker, who is showing he can be good and the rest rely heavily on Duncan. Duncan improves the team tremendously.

The comment about Robinson having to wait until Duncan came also rings true. Say what you want about Jordan needing Pippen, Shaq and Kobe, but I have the feeling Duncan wont need anyone else and he hasnt reached his prime yet.

Ps. Do you think Garnett and Cassell can now be added to the list. How much have the T-Wolves improved and KG just keeps getting better.

D-Rob is a top 50 player of all-time, but the Tim Robot is IMO, or more to the point will be remembered, in the top 10-15 NBA players ever. His skill set is the simplest and most fundamental, yet he cannot be stopped. Go figure. Say what you will about KG and Tim's suppporting casts, but Duncan is gets the dubyas and the bling, and that's the bottom line.
