We need skills though Stafford. Skills Skills Skills Skills and even more Skills. Fleming didn't have the skills, and would've been a great Sheedy like player a generation or two ago now, and while I cant fault his heart and desire, his skills would've hurt us even more than Tivendale's this year I believe.

I'd take a 3 foot midget who can kick a ball accuratly 95% of the time over Tivendale atm.

i disagree diceman his skills were improving with each game and he was an
in and under player which i love and have great respect for rather than a receiver
like clangerdale who can't even do that now with his awful turnovers.under wallace and his game plan i reakon fleming would have done alright,but just remember it was a line ball wether he went or tuck went and reason i believe wallace chose tuck which wasn't a bad decision btw is their ages and tuck's old man was a late bloomer who played a lot of games for the hawks.i still reakon there was a spot for fleming and they should have shafted morrison instead.

fleming doubled his stats in his second season and i have no doubt he would be up around the 20 plus possies a game this year.

I find it amusing to read of some fans desire to have kept TF on the list as if he'd be the difference between winninig and losing. TF got the chop because he wasn't up to it..simple as that. If he was still there people here would be bagging him here calling for his head. Keeping players like TF will not further the club. We need more skilled youngsters not more talentless battlers.

Gee i think it was a bad move getting rid of him last year, sure he didnt have the best disposal but i think he was a decent tagger, put his body on the line had a full crack and got stuck into players aswell.
