Time for change

Everyone, I think time has come for the GFC to get Ottens back into the ruck. If we don't have King, he is our next option.

Why do we continuously try to make Blake ruck, and Otto as a permanent FF when it clearly isn't working.

We need first use of the ball, which we aren't getting, so why stuff about ? Put Otto in the ruck, place Mooney at FF and Nathan at CHF.

My forward line would look something like this:

HF Gardiner Nath Chapman
FF Jnr Mooney Varcoe or Djerrkura

Obviously SJ would fit in there somewhere, but we cannot add him just yet. I'd like to think that the GFC coaching panel is looking at some way to improve our ruck stocks, as Blake clearly isn't the answer.

I know that the inclusion of Charlie Gardiner is also up for argument, but he does do some nice things, just some stupid ones also. In the long term I'd say Gamble would win that spot easily, or SJ in the pocket or vice versa.

I think we need to move on the ruck problem first, which will sort out the rest. We have 21 games to go, will be interesting seeing the next move by Thompson.

I agree with you about Ottens. I was one that thought he had finally found his feet playing at full forward. was bragging to everyone to watch him. I even put a sports bet on him for the coleman. But now I am thinking (even with King) I would play Ottens in the ruck. The trouble being do you rest Blake or King up forward because they have proved they dont mark what they should for guys that big

Jubjub, no I'm not, but who else have we got that isn't under suspension??

No-one can fulfill the role provided by Gardiner at this stage, that will change in a week or so when Kelly and Stokes become available.

Sorry, should've pointed that out, the only reason why Gardiner is there is due to not having anyone else. SJ would also get a run in there.

Please Jubjub accept my appologies, there is no way we should have Gardiner in the team other than he is the last option.

GFC and match comittee are still relying on the same players in the same positions, and the oppositions teams know how to react to that...King, as I mentioned last year..he is gone..Blake can't tap to a player and has no confidence to kick. Ottens should be playing ruck, changing between the back or interchange and bring on Trent West, young, mobile and fearless...Do something different GFC AND MATCH COMITTEE, "DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT" This current bunch of players will not get us into a GF nor in the top 8 this year...same old, same old
