Time to do some Selwood research

The two preliminary finals gives us an opportunity to see just how much effect the Selwoods have on the free kick count.

We have two matches....one with Selwoods and one totally devoid of any Selwoods.

The Selwood game has the definitive Selwood on one team and the other team has two Selwoods who together make up a formidable display of Selwoodism.

To make the research almost perfect, two Selwoods should be playing on each other. We should be able to see how a Selwood tackles another Selwood, without allowing his arms to be pushed across the tackled Selwood's shoulder. If the West Coast's Selwoods cant tackle their brother without giving away a free-kick then we can positively say that it cannot be done.

And get this!! We will be able to see the greatest Selwood have to tackle a West Coast Selwood. Is he going to be able to do it without his older brother being able to stooge for a free?? Fascinating stuff...

All this is great entertainment. However, because we have the earlier Preliminary totally without Selwoods. We will be able to see players place legitimate tackles on the opposition without their arms being moved above the tackled players heads. I suspect that there will be at least 10 free kicks less in this match...
