raines is a good player only his disposal is sometimes bad but at least he knows how to find the ball. they should move him into the middle like his dad.

At the moment he is another who has a stellar break out year , to be followed up with rants of "future captain" and calls for "long term contracts" ... then follows it up with mediocrity .

I truelly hope he can overcome this flat spot , otherwise he is heading down the same track that countless others have who have donned our jumper in the last 20 years .

the roos dropped players back, and the forwards werent coming to meet the ball up field and lots of passes were cut out. riewoldt should have come forward more and they lost a lot of drive once delidio was injured.

Edwards doesn't get easy touches. All his touches are around packs and thats why he is exciting, would have been nice for him and Jack to kick those simple goals before half time though

I didn't see last night's game and haven't seen a lot this year but the first time i saw raines was at the carlton game early last year and i came away saying 'he was the only bloke out there whose every disposal went where he wanted'. maybe he's struggling now but i think he's got the goods. he was taken low because he was a skinny 17-year-old from qld and we'd already wasted a father-son pick on tom roach. tuck and hartigan picked in the 70s that draft as well.
and as for any moron calling for moore to be picked, get it thru your heads: HE CAN'T PLAY!!

I'd love to have Raines at the Dees - has pace, runs the lines and works his butt off.

Last year he had licence, this year he has had plenty of "tagging" roles against some of the bigger and better names going around. Riewolt (Saints) kicked 4 on him, two were just plain lucky and I reckon if I said before the game would you be happy with Riewolt kicking 2 you would have taken it.

How about looking at your forward line? You get it in there as much as anyone but fail to kick goals. Kingsley the answer????? Why would you draft someone his age then not play him - rubbish recruiting.

You still have this draft to pick kids, and in a couple of seasons you will be stronger and have plenty of blokes that have played 50+ games. Then you will challenge.

Ah the bleeding hearts, take a good look at it for once. Richo has had good games the last 3 weeks and we have had a win yet he just does not allow others to get involved because regardless of whether he is on the boundary 50m from goal or playing with 3 opponents around him he is still demanding others kick to him if they don't he still delivers the usual spray asking why they didn't. The time has come to move past Richo as being the focus of the side if we want to see the club move forwards. Not saying he should get the arse but it is time for the club to start looking at guys like Jay, Jack and Cleve to carry the load up forward.
