Well to be fair he had been injured for most of his career at the swans. Not to mention I don't think we can judge him too much on this GF I mean really who the hell didn't play shite today?

Tippett has been good for us so far, not brilliant but certainly at least good. After today's game he (and Buddy) will not be the main focus of attention for our coaches over the summer, that's for sure.

Thought he (and definitely Buddy) battled well today given the absolute woeful service they received. 16 touches is a better return than most of the midfielders from today. Our KF are the least of our problems going forward, the one area that doesn't need to be addressed. There's only so much they can do though when the ball keeps going over their heads or to their opponents advantage.

Tippet and Buddy work well together, if they could both stay fit and actually be on the end of some decent delivery they could tear a season apart. Horse needs to stop allowing them in to be caught 1on2, 1on3 situations all the time - the mids obviously need to be smarter and not kick it to them in these situations.
 
I am a Tippett fan. Very inconsistent though, he either kicks a bag or he barely contributes.

He probably isn't worth it when you look at what he is paid, but he definitely isn't a bad player.

He's delivered to the best of his ability. Given a full pre-season and avoiding injury, I think we are yet to see his absolute best.

This. He might be 2 years in but given his suspension and injuries (both out of his control) he has only played one full year. 26 games and 69 goals. Yes he has delivered. Hopefully a full preseason and a full season next year and he could be up there with buddy for the coleman.
 
Everyone else only kicks to Buddy, so he only gets kicks from Buddy (if Buddy's outside his 60m range)
 
Other than that handball to Hannebery and smother kick (both intercepted by who else but Cyril that lead to goals) he did ok with what he Got (oh and being jumped by lake) otherwise he has delivered . Top goal scorers last year with only a handful of game play and this year he did well. If our midfields kick down forward a bit more Tippett would have grabbed a few more marks and goals.

Without him as an option going down the wing from defence we would of been in even bigger trouble...if that is possible!!!

We cannot judge him yet. The bloke has been battling injury /suspension his whole time with us. No pre season at all this year battling knee tendinitis which has caused him to miss games here and there and not be able to consistantly hit the field ....oh and he had to learn on the go how to play with a bloke named buddy franklin.

Give him a full pre season and 20 odd games and we will see his worth

But right now we overpaid initially, he wasnt worth it and he has not given value for money lets not sugar coat it

He is our highest paid player he isnt our best

If based on the amount of games he has played then yer but he averaged almost 3 goals last year and 2.5 this year, he is doing his job just needs to stay on the park.

Which he hasnt done so so far its been an average investment
