8th - 10th

No Taz (will have more of an impact on our team than most give credit) , no Didak half the year maybe more, no Holland for 6 weeks , Fraser and Clement limited pre-seasons and not 100% certain to play rnd1.

I know you guys still have the buzz (and resentment) of 2002 & 2003, But the truth is, compare the team you had to the team you have and it might as well have been a forever ago. You have reminants of very good players who are beyond their best, and only a small hand full of new players who are any good. The team you have in 07 may be good enough for 10 wins but not the finals i'm afraid. In 2 or so years you will lose your former superstars and find yourselfs having to start from scratch, but unfortunately there'll be too many teams with a head start. Good luck.

Much of how we go this year is going to depend on how players such as Rusling, Cloke, Egan, Anthony, Maxwell, O'Brien, Shawx2, Neon, Swan, Thomas, Pendlebury go (that emerging tier of mid-experienced players).

I can't see us making the eight this year. I think the club has decided to rebuild and won't be too fussed if we don't make the eight. The recruits from last years draft show that we're looking at the long term, which is great.

No Dids and Holland for the first six games or so are a big loss. Tarrant being shipped across to Freo (while inconsistent a lot of the time, he is a lost mature age player) tells me that the club believes the list we had wasn't good enough to go all the way. We need a lot to go our way for us to make the eight I think...such as a lot of the kids having a great consistent year, Bucks and Burnsy remaining fit and Pebbles firing up forward.

Hope I'm wrong, but I think we'll finish about 12-13.

The fact that Didak and Holland are out in the first half of the year will hurt as all Collingwood's interstate games are before rd 11/12.

Therefore I'm predicting 3-9 after round 12. However you'll win many games on the run home to finish around 10th-11th.

10 wins
12 losses for da macpies.
