What's the obsession with the turnover king, let him finish up in the magoos please.:thumbsd:

He will probably win the league best and fairest in the magoos, way too good for any of them,

If he was given a fair go and not just 10 mins a game and then dropped maybe he could show some touch in the seniors.

the guys got no touch at all. his being named just to send a message to rest of the magoos that if you play well you will be rewarded, no easy passage. he wont play.

He has been given plenty of time in the seniors! You can only cough the ball up so many times.

Someone posted elsewhere that perhaps he has been included to add experience to Sundays line-up! (with Richo & Polly out)

FFS...

We have all experienced the Tivendale experience and surely we do not deserve to experience it again!
Just because you have played 190 odd games does not mean you have something invaluable to offer a young developing team. Thanks for pulling on the boots for 10 years Tivs but...

Surely... surely it won't happen.

FFS, how the #### do the tigers allow players like this, to get to this number defies logic. Behind Chaffey he would have to be one the luckiest players to play AFL. Good luck to him, he was chosen by the right team that handed out careers from the back of a corn flakes packet.

The more serious problem is that if he does get the nod and he pulls out one of those once a year efforts, then we have ourselves a 250 gamer and round we go again. ;)

yeah good call.

He needs time out on the field to help guide our youngsters, as he is one of our senior leaders.
But the example needs to be set, there is no room for passengers at Tigerland.

Well done to TW and the coaching staff for making every spot in the side earned, and holding the players accountable for their individual success :thumbsu:

How many games has he played for Richmond?

I do feel sorry for the bloke. He's been loyal, tried hard through a really tough patch for the club and I do like him, but his disposal and decision making is just not what it needs to be to take him to the next level.

It is a serious tragedy when a player who can find the pill as much as Tivendale just doesn't seem to have the instincts of what to do with it when he gets it. Robert Harvey is a classic example of someone who finds the pill a hell of a lot and can't kick to save himself, but Harvey's decision making is damn near genius, meaning every handball and kick he makes to a player has an immediate impact. Tivs, unfortunately, isn't quite like that.

feel sorry for him? man he has a 190 game AFL career to look back on, when he shouldnt have had a 3 game AFL career to look back on. He should be kissing the tigers arse, for allowing him to get to that number. ;)

tiv in 2000 -01 was a gun. long goals for 55m all the time. all went down hill from there.

man, he might have kicked a couple of long goals from 55m, and thats all that sticks in that head of yours doesnt it? He is a useless dud who can thank his lucky stars that he played in a team that was a complete basket case with others making him look good. i.e. the flemings, hoolahoops, marshes etc of this world looked completely ####ed, so someone who was less ####ed, looked good,in their midst.
In summary, we were not in the process of getting good players onto the list, we were in the process of getting less worse players onto the list and here we are today. Lets get x he is a better option....better option than what? How about lets get x because he is good and will kick butt? ;)

Every day on here , we all log on , chew the fat and occassionally put shit on each other. However, one thing never changes, we all love this bloody club.

I will be one of the most disappointed should Tiv get a run this week or any other week between now and season's end beacuse basically his time has come and we MUST invest in players who have it all before them not in the end of their careers.

That said, as someone who loves the RFC I can't find it in me to lay crap on Tivendale. I've bagged his performances at times and his selection in the team with the rest of 'em. The guy has played 180+ games for the Tiges at a time where he certainly was by no means the worst on our list and in fact for a large proportion of the time, was one of our first picked. The fact that we were crap had nothing to do with him. I have never read anything negative about how he has conducted himself as a clubman and individual in that time despite his on field efforts. When it has come to being asked to step down, he took it on the chin, went back to Coiburg, encouraged others and has basically given his best, in fact we has done too bloody well really! No bullshit, no sooking no "stuff you I'm off" attitude like we have seen from countless others as he is obviously Richmoind through and through. So cheap shots at the end of a career kinda grate on me a bit.

No I don't want Greg Tivendale playing anymore senior footy for the Richmond Footy Club but that doesnt mean I don't have the utmost respect for him. In thsi life we get the respect we deserve and if we behave like ########s everytime someone's career ends who the hell would want to come play at our club? I know loyalty etc is dead if not gravely ill but I would still like to think the RFC is built of better stuff than that.

well said TT, I dont think too many wish tivers anything but the best, it's more that the vision that has been set for the future of RFC gets clouded when we see a throng of youngsters belting the door down to get a game in a successful ressies side only to be overlooked when the selectors turn to a veteran. under different circumstances such as a heap of injuries Tivers would have key role to play , at this point he is doing the club a great service in continuing to raise the bar for the youngsters surrounding him at Coburg:thumbsu:

Top Top Top Post TT correct on the money, i also don't want him in the Senior team but he does deservr respect for the way he has always handled himself. :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

WTF theres actually peeps who wantg him back on the team, certain to be gone at the end of the year, even only we could get a pick for him but no other club is stupid enoguh to touch tivers. pathetic player that makes a mess of his jocks when he feels the mcc stand shadow coming over him let only any opposition player, but lets be honest its hard for any player to touch him when his running in the first row of seating. Also "tivers" seems to have some starnge obsession to like kicking the footy to the wrong colours, and losing all abiltiy (that he had) when kciking a set shot. :thumbsd::thumbsd::thumbsd::thumbsd::thumbsd::thumbsd::thumbsd:Had his moments years ago but....... DELIST

LMAO...let me decode this...thanks for nothing. ;)

Are you actually a genuinely mean person in every day society too? Or do you not make the connection with footballers being regular human beings?

Think some of you blokes are a bit harsh on Tivers. He hasn't been the worse player to put the jumper on and he has played 190 odd games, but he shown nothing this year and it's time to let a younger fella take his spot.

Warm handshake at the end of the season.........seeya bye

nuff said!
