The bloke may be talented but he is a loose cannon who is easily flustered by niggling opponents. Likely to cost a mill a season, I would rather spend that elsewhere. Buyer beware.
Agree with this.

All other 17 clubs should stay away.

lol how do they fit that in their cap, greene up to 1mil a year, same with cameron and scully
Then patton, ward, coniglio, shiel, kelly, lobb all taking up huge amounts of the cap.

so who is being underpaid up there at the giants?

id be assuming whitfield, tomlinson, corr, taranto, davis all on way unders

They are? Wouldn't say huge amounts.
Kelly Lobb Cogs and Shiel all signed for less than what was on offer from other clubs. In some cases much less.

I would also say some sought of front/back loading would be involved to work

The same Scully that re-signed a drastically reduced contract?

Take your offended somewhere else.

I think Phil might do a Scully as well, they know they have been paid very well in early years. But Mumford, Griffen, Heater salaries all but gone after this year as well ditching some dead wood in past few trade periods means cash has been getting freed up for a while now.

Good to have him signed and secured.

But wow six years is a long time, I generally don’t like contracts, more than four years and get a bit nervous with long contracts, as the risk of serious injury is always an unfortunate part of the game.

That said nice to see him repaying the faith and signing on for tenure.

So the AFL's most punchable face has another six years in orange. Taking up 6.5% of their cap, seems about correct.

Longer contracts are becoming more common, we have the world record in Buddy but also signed a number of our other guns to 5 years. Saves all the constant speculation whenever a player has 12-18 months left on their current contract. Look at Adelaide, had over 12 months of Dangerfield, then Lever, now Sloane, gets tiring so if player is rolled gold, sign them up long term.

I'm going to ignore the first part of your post. not worthy.

Toby did say in his presser that he saw what Josh Kelly went through last year with the constant media questions & didn't want to have go through that himself, which is why he signed on early.
