I haven't heard a more biased commentary since Eddie was in the box. Carlton fought hard and made me proud to be a carlton supporter, but according to the broadcast anyone would think we were a disgrace.

Even as a carlton supprter i'll admit, the 10 commentary is the worst........Lane,Walls,Maher all calling a carlton game at the same time.


They all do it. Just some are wosre then others at hiding it.

The thing with Robert Walls is that he played in 3 premierships & coached one. He actually knows a bit about the game, unlike the Collingwood president/quiz show host/failed CEO whose commentary ranks alongside that of Steven Quarterbrain.

110% agree mate, the worst special comments man I've heard for years! Jumped at every chance to praise Geelong blokes and did everything he could to avoid even making a comment on Carltons plays. He's a complete muppet, even when Carlton aren't playing all he does is blow smoke up his (and Geelong's) own arse. Just **** off and do something else Tom, your comments and voice annoy the crap out of me!!! Should be refered to as "Geelong representative" rather than special comments man.

Your comment that Walls know something about the game actually reinforces the point made about biased commentary. With his knowledge he should be much better. I wouldn't raise the employment and or character of club presidents as a win for your club over other clubs....

yeah first qtr i didnt know carlton were playing. He spoke glowingly of everything a cat player did. Only player he spoke well of was waite. Was a bit ordinary.

Good call on the tim lane and walls thing though. It is cringeworthy hearing them commentate carlton games

You expect a bit of bias from former players calling their old team but he is fast becoming as hard to listen to as Eddie with the Pies and Lloyd with the Bombers.
Trying to pass of the hit on Gibbs as nothing to worry about was just too much. At least Matthews had the good grace to correct him and point out the rules.
It doesn't hurt to acknowledge good play from both sides, especially if you are supposed to be commentating on the game, not barracking for your former club. Otherwise go and sit in the outer with all the other fans and support the club from there.
