Im on Lonners, He offers more as a players , He can play back or foward, where as Hawk can only play foward, Just for fun i want to see him get thrown into the ruck for 5 mins this week

Needs to show more than last week. I thought he lacked the commitment to make himself available on the lead.In a game we dominated for 3/4 he was ineffectual.
He needs to lead and keep leading,making space for the other forwards and he will eventually break free of his opponent as well.
Having said that, he only needs one good game and he will gain enormous confidence from it.
The team needs him to contribute 1-2 goals a game as I believe Lonergan will be needed to cover Egan on the bigger type forwards such as Kosi this week.

Even Blake looked better than Tomahawk when he went forward last week. The boy still has a lot to learn. But he will get there, he's got the body and a great attitude.

Whenever i saw him in the game last week Hawkins was always up the field, when he is clearly an 'in the square' FF. Why play him up the ground? Loners for CHF and Tommo for FF seems a smarter way to play them.

I thought he looked a little lost last week. Didn't seem to know what his role actually was and neither did the coaching staff. He was up the ground one minute then from the square the next. They need to define his role and allow him to settle in it and learn.

As sarah said, he didn't attack the ball with any conviction and to me looked like a young man without any confidence. But we all know how quickly that can turn around.

Agreeing with And ROOS, I'd like to see him coming out of the square on hard and fast leads. He appears more suited to that role than CHF.

I think they are playing him at CHF and up the game to get his fitness up. Not many FF can stay just inside the 50 anymore and a bloke his size should look to be getting about a bit.

Don't worry about him, he's from Barcelona.

I always worry a bit about making judgements based on watching the game on TV. Just because a player doesn't get 20 touches doesn't mean he didn't play his role, and even if you are at the game, without being in the team meeting it's hard to know what a player's role is sometimes.

I also worry about having too much expectation of a kid in his second season. If he kicks 30 goals for the year he'll have done OK. But as long as he works hard and does his job every week I think Bomber will be happy.

I agree that 30-35 goals would be a good return. The key thing is constancy with him being so young. I have a feeling he is going to have games where he kicks 6+ and mauls defenses then have a game where he is barely noticeable. Hopefully I am wrong and he kicks 6 a game!!!
