Anyone else picking this up next week?

Reviews are in, and the game has scored pretty well.

8-9's everywhere. Really looking forward to it now.

I havent even seen one screen of this game yet.. just really hoping it's not Nathan Drake with boobs.
In saying that I'm about to start looking at screens and reviews and I'm really looking forward to liking what I see.

It's on my buy list. March should be good Tomb Raider, GoW, Bioshock and hopefully the South Park game.

I have been playing it on my RGH 360 and so far it is my favorite game this year. Very Polished

Sounds fine, this isn't a game I'd buy for multiplayer anyway.

It looks like they've done well to fulfill the concept that they set out to create.

However one thing I didn't really get much of an idea from with the IGN review was the scale of the world. Is it open world? Is it linear? Is it linear with bits of exploration? That part was kind of confusing.

I loved the look of the Tomb's, gave a real Romulus Lair's from Assassin's Creed vibe (easily my favourite parts of the AC series - extremely disappointing that they cut that from Revelations).

Then obviously there's the mashing of set pieces and platforming elements that seem to take from Uncharted mostly.

Don't know if I'll pick it up on release, but definitely looks like a buy at some stage.

Slightly off-topic but I completely agree. If Tomb Raider is anything like the Romulus Lairs I'll be very, very happy.

I have been told its linear with bits of exploration.
Also been told its goty material (i know its early days)

i've been playing it so legally, as sacka said it's linear with bits of exploration; you can go back to previous campsites by fast travelling. i've really enjoyed it so far, it's really ****ing gruesome actually like i was kinda surprised haha

I've seen one death scene which really surprised me. Saw one of "The clueless Gamer" segments that Conan O'Brien does on his show with how gruesome it was.

yeah i've heard of that but i'm not up to it yet, i'm not far at all into the game. i'd really recommend it though

To be honest, this looks like the first game I've actually wanted to play and look forward to since... Well, ME 2 I think.

Pre-ordered for $50 on ozgameshop. Can't go wrong!

Haha nice point. I just didnt want it to feel like an expansion to Uncharted... looking at some vids and reviews though I'm satisfied it will be different enough.

Also good to remember that xbox users who don't own a ps3 never got to experience Drake. I wouldn't mind if it was that.
