After watching the players name their top 50 players in the AFL it got me thinking who would be in the top 10 in 3 years time (2017)...... so here's my list
  1. P.Dangerfield, is a superstar now could be anything in 3 years time, I hope for Adelaide's sake he stay's in South Australia.
  2. J.Cameron, looking like he could make the AFL his own just like Carey did in the 90's.
  3. J.Selwood, Courage personified
  4. T.Cotchin, I think this guy is a little underrated at the moment. I feel in 3 years time he will be Averaging 30 touches a game.
  5. C.Wingard, South Australians are so lucky for the next 5 years they will get to see the best 2 footballers running around.
  6. N.Naitanui, FREAK......
  7. G.Ablett, See Above.
  8. D.Swallow, If you ever get a chance to watch a suns game you will notice how much this guy has improved, If/When the franchise clubs start dominating Swallow will be on everyone TV screens.
  9. J.Kelly, What a rookie, will be a superstar GWS fans get excited.
  10. J.O'meara, I see 2017 being the year where the Suns and Giants will take over and this kid is a star in the making
Unlucky to miss out Pendelbury, Heppell, Beams, Rockliff, Prestia, Treloar, Whitfield, Patton, Elliott, D.Talia, Fyfe, Hawkins, Bennell, Rioli, Ziebell, Boak, J.Riewoldt, J.Kennedy (syd), Hannebery, Shuey, Masten, Liberatore......

1. Jeremy Cameron - Already one of the best KPFs in the league and will only improve, will be considered one of the all-time greats.
2. Nathan Fyfe - It's hard to believe this guy is still just 22. If this is just a taste, sign me up for the main course. Will win the Dockers first Brownlow.
3. Joel Selwood - Already in the competition's top 10 and still will be in 3 years time. Will win a Brownlow.
4. Tom Rockliff - Reckon he will be the next Dane Swan, though hopefully without the tats. Brownlow.
5. Scott Pendlebury - Ditto Selwood.
6. Jack Darling - Excellent KPF who can also pinch-hit in the midfield as a big-bodied rover.
7. Daniel Talia - Likely to be the competition's best full back in a couple years time.
8. Chad Wingard - Has acheived so much in his first two years and will only improve. Potentially a high production midfielder who is also dangerous around goals. Brownlow.
9. David Swallow - with apologies to Jaeger, Swallow will probably be a little ahead of him in three years time.
10. Luke Dahlhaus - Reminds me a bit of Ablett in the small-forward/mid role. Will be a big-time player.

Deliberately left North players out to try and avoid bias, but here's a few I would shortlist: Jack Ziebell, Andrew Swallow, Ben Cunnington, Shaun Atley, Luke McDonald, Aaron Black, Majak Daw.

Apologies to: Sloane, Dangerfield, Walker, Beams, Heppell, Walters, Presita, Bennell, Day, McKenzie, Nicholls, Tompson, Coniglio, Whitfield, Shiel, Patton, Treloar, Breust, Boak, Hartlett, Wines, Ellis, Steven, Hannbery, Parker, Liberatore.

Boomer was a joke - the task is to name 10 - not 10 plus a heap of apologies to make a list of 20. Back your 10 posters instead of hedging your bets.

Three years is not that long. I would expect the top three to be the same as today- Ablett, Pendlebury and Selwood, though maybe not in that order. So just for the sake of the exercise I'll leave out the 25+ players.

1. Jeremy Cameron - Pretty much what everyone else has said.
2. Nathan Fyfe - Has the tools to be a damaging player all over the ground for the next ten years.
3. Patrick Dangerfield - I don't know if he'll ever have the consistency of Ablett, but he has everything else and will put up efforts that no one else is capable of.
4. Jack Darling - He's not big enough to play true KP, but what he has shown is versatility. A big engine, speed and a willingness to work. Can be very handy in a number of roles and will likely still kick 50 a year.
5. Jaeger O'Meara - At some point he will get to the top, I just don't know if that will be in three years time. Has all the talent and the desire to go wherever he wants to.
6. Adam Treloar - Lacks the polish right now but is still have a big effect on games. Finds the ball like a natural and loves the defensive side of the game. May be giving him too much credit but we'll see.
7. Taylor Walker - If his body holds up.
8. Tom Rockliff - Fills up a stat sheet like few can but not only that, he has a big impact. Natural ball winner and goal kicker, and a good leader.
9. Dayne Beams - Similar to Rockliff, just does it all.
10. Trent Cotchin - Still has plenty of scope for improvement and considering how good he already is, that should be enough for him to be a top 10 player.

Others- Chad Wingard, Ben Cunnington, Tom Liberatore, Luke Parker and a whole host of Suns and Giants players.

in all seriousness though, hard to argue with Wines and Wingard as both look special. Still not sure on Polec, how high is his ceiling? I'd imagine those other two boys still have plenty of improvement yet come

Yeah, I swear I put 'I'm only writing down what I know well' hence the prolificness of Port Adelaide players. I think Polec can do it. He still has so much development left in him and his attitude this year has changed completely. He's incredible to watch as well. Could be wrong, but I think he still has a way to go in terms of potential.
