argh no wont be taking a ruckman with pick 5, thats what our pick 7 is for, so its gonna get very intresting, i dont even know if we will get a ruckman if it was my choice 1 midfielder and 2 kpp players.

I'd say 2 midfielders and 1 kpp, but I could handle it your way too.

I'm not a fan of taking young ruck types with first round picks, as they always take longer to develop and are totally hit and miss. If Hawthorn wants to use 21 or 26 for this purpose, that would be fine.

With Deledio certain to go at pick 1, my best case scenario for Hawthorn would be to pick up Griffen, Tambling & Roughhead. Almost an impossible dream, although as long as we nail Griffen with pick 2, we should be well set to ensure that at least 2 out of these 3 players are at the club in 2005.

I'd guess Pick 7 is for a KPP , I think they traded up to make sure they get Ryan Willits , Hawks have been interested in him for a while.

The dogs should draft Jaryd Roughead even if they have to use their number 3 pick to get him. We need a tough, hard, KPP who is good overhead which Roughead appears to be + he has quite clearly the best name getting around the AFL. With Grant retiring in a year hopefully Roughead and Walsh could fil CHB & CHF. We ould still expect to pick up a good midfielder with pick 6.

his run and markin ability was fantasitc

Im a Dogs supporter. Many people are suggesting we get some kpp and or ruckman. I completly disgaree. I believe mayb one kpp but definetly not franklin. He would b pointless. We hav Mcguiness, Wight, walsh developing and just letting go of a kpp in Bowden. I think if we r gonna develop a team start in the midfield. Mayb griffen and roughhead or deluca.

This would be good and very possible too:

4. Franklin
5. Roughhead
6. Deluca (instead of Wood.) We have minson and skipper coming through no need for another.

1. Bowden isnt a KPP, more of a flanker.

2. DeLuca is a ruckman not a KPP.

3. Skipper is too short for the ruck, hence the reason he plays in a key position for us.

From what I have seen, read and heard, the Hawks should not bother with Willits at pick 26 let alone pick 7. Being compared to a mix between Leigh Brown and Ben Holland was enough for me to say no thanks!
The Hawks should take the BEST player avaliable with the first 3 picks in the draft, regardless of position.
If I was in charge, the draft from Hawthorn's perspective would look a little like this:

1. Deledio
2. Tambling
3. Griffen
4. Franklin
5. Roughead
6. Wood
7. Monfries

Haha, Attard might be hard at it but but kicks like a gimp. Moore is a garden gnome who runs at snails pace. I know for a fact richmond wont pick up either at all, let alone early. you sya that skipper is too short for the ruck even though hes the same size as darcy and darcy is a good ruckman.
Blake is 189cm and plays in ther ruck.

Im not a fan of draftting ruckman like Wood as he will take ages to develop, rather Deluca who is a possibilty forward
