Topic for persuasive speech.

Im having some difficulty trying to find a good topic for my Year 11 persuasive speech. Does anyone have a good topic or have any idea for a topic??

so far ive got..

Wrestling is not fake (it is but decided to argue)
maybe Asylum seeker.
or some politics..

thats all. i dunno what to do!

The fact that the coaches should be protected whilst walking back to their boxes... should they have cages or not?

I must admit, I can't think of any ideas off the top of my head but I do have a little advice if it helps.

Choose something you know heaps about, that you can speak confidently about. I did a similar thing, mine was about the AFL and Fitzroy, I can't remember the exact topic but it was about mergers or something. It was easy to make a speech for and also very easy to get my point across because it was an important issue for me. Trust me, that helps. Especially when you have to be persuasive.

Best to go with a topic you know a lot about and are passionate about. If you're setting the topic it's easier than debating where the topic is given to you and it could be something you're not interested in or where you have to argue the other side to what you believe in.
I'd love to know how you could persuade anyone that wrestling isn't fake

Persuation, only sure method is with hand held weapons.

As for speeches, steer clear of sport esp wrestling. Nothing fires people up more than politics, so the boat people one will be the best. Be sure to do alot of reading and research. You may want to shed a tear or two during the presentation as this will win hearts.

i wouldn't know anything about the pink pies...
