AFL Club
Adelaide
The Adelaide Football Club and Toyota have extended one of the longest-standing corporate partnerships in the AFL.

The Crows and iconic car brand, which has been with the Club since its inception in 1991, have agreed to a new two-year agreement.

Probably no surprise, but excellent news nonetheless. It's great that we've been able to continue this major partnership for so long!

No live streamed press conference from the MCG though? oh well still great news to continue the partnership for another 2 years.

Small thing but the one thing I like about the Toyota sponsorship is that our jumpers never really looked like its plastered with a new tacky bumper sticker every year or two.. Toyota seem happy to have it clean and simple and create a genuine partnership with the club instead.

Totally agree. It's no Bingle, NATIONAL STORAGE, iinet, woodside, HOST PLUS, MAZDA BT-50 that's for sure.

Or how QBE insist on having a white square behind their logo eventhough it makes the Sydney guernsey look worse.

Obviously this is great news and I share the sentiments expressed in the comments above. Toyota is an A-Grade sponsor.

However... AFC Management, can you please stop trying to include the bolded line in every interview, press release and story you are involved with of late.
The Club is in great shape and Toyota has had a big part to play."

Who are you trying to convince? If you say it enough times it doesn't suddenly become true. Our club is massively underachieving both off-field & on-field. We are the #1 team in just a 2-team town in the #2 football state, we have enormous potential which is not even close to being fulfilled. Let's turn things around with measurable performance based results (premierships & yearly record profits, not caused by increasing ticket prices), not through your typical propaganda campaign of writing the narrative you want the public to believe and then re-educating any AFC Ambassador (through which we have saturated the South Australian media), who isn't effectively selling your message.

Thank god triggy stayed those extra weeks, without it we never would have got the toyota renewal and the federal money. o_O

I heard* that Toyota were thinking of pulling out of their partnership with us if Trigg remained, they were less than impresed to have there brand tainted by ours.

With Trigg resigning they were happy to continue with us for another two years.

Excellent news for the club, the Toyota sponsorship has been brilliant for us.

*This may or may not be true.

Surely what Trigg has stayed around to lock in. Sponsorship is driven by relationships, and this now gives the new CEO a chance to build their own relationship with the Toyota team.

It's been a classy exit, truth be told.
