Been ripped off by Telstra for far too long :thumbsd:. Thinking of getting ADSL 2+ with VOIP/30GB (although I'm not going to be using VOIP) for $49.95/month. They seem the best value for the type of plan I want out of the other providers I've searched (IInet, Westnest, Internode).

Anyone use them/have used them? What is their service/reliability/reputation etc. like?

Recently had ADSL with Telstra for like 4 years, biggest rip-off ever. We are now with Dodo, good value.

Damian, did TPG crash often when you were with them?

Scooter, what's Dodo's support like? I've heard from a few people it's terrible and the talk on whirlpool forums is very negative.

from my memory tbu tpg doesnt have adsl 2+ in perth. they were installing it like the other states then it came to a halt. best to go with i reckon is iinet.

dodo is crap it goes off every 2nd day

currently got iinet

changing companies not enough space for downloads

Had TPG for the past 3 years, ADSL 2+ 150 gig plan for the past 6 months, very happy, good speeds, very rarely have any issues, and most importantly is a very competitive price.

Same. Got the 150 Gig plan on ADSL2 with TPG.

Just got it 2 days ago after being with bigpond for donkeys years.
Finally came to my senses.

I'm with TPG now. Not ADSL2, just ADSL.
Talk about drop-out city. I'm amazed I've been connected for more than 10 minutes without a drop-out on a Sunday. Hopeless on Sundays, and between about 7p and 11pm most nights.

By drop out, what do you mean, because if you just need to unplug the router and plug it back in, thats not a drop out, and not TPG's fault. Common misconception.

Sorry to assume you don't know, just confirming, and I'd say you know a lot more about this stuff than me anyway so I probs shouldn't have wasted my time :p

Haven't had any problems yet. Its been going perfectly since I got it about 4 months ago, and to whoever said it drops out every 2 days, we haven't had one drop out yet.

I too am only on TPG ADSL, but I have only had one dropout that I have ever (that I have noticed), and that was at another house. In my experience TPG is VERY reliable.

I guess it depends on where you are though.
